2nd baseman holds ball for too long which causes me to not successfully throw a double play

I made a second baseman and when there’s a play going on with a runner on first my player goes to second but holds the ball for too long which result in me only getting one out instead of two outs

I had the same issue when playing as a left handed 2 way player SP/SS. He would step on second base like it was the third out every time. Seemed to go away after switching to right handed.

Same it’s like the game doesn’t have animations for a left handed turning a double play. It doesn’t know how to process.
