Pinpoint Pitching Has Got to GO!

[censored] is a joke. Playing around the 900 level in RS every other dude is dotting the exact corner after throwing a couple in the dirt. It is a literal sinker or cutter or whatever that dots the exact corner off of the break.
I have never seen this in any previous iteration of the show and I frankly hate it. It’s a Fn joke.

Because you can make a shape on your joystick you have precise command. GTFO SDS.

Pinpoint is a beauty

Contact swinging being so overpowered needs to be fixed first

Honestly if they’re skill involved keep it. I’d rather have this than 20’s gravity ball down the middle pitches.

I don’t watch streamers or YouTubers but I’m going to assume there are some videos that were made to let everyone know pinpoint let’s you put the ball exactly where you want it.

I mean is it really skill? Seems kind of gimmicky to me. At least on the old 2K games the gesture corresponds to the wind up and release of the pitch. From what I see in practice you do the gesture and then just watch the pitcher throw dots.

Yes it is a skill, the gesture also corresponds to the release to, you don't just gesture and the pitcher pitches.

I respectfully disagree. Something needs to be tweaked. Shouldn’t be able to put it on the exact corner consistently.

SDS said it when they made they announcement, once you learn how to use it you’ll start loving it. Go practice it, your opinion will be much different when you learn it, it takes skill and it rewards good input and punishes bad input.

If you have the skill to do so, why shouldn't it? So you are saying even if you have the skill to do so, it should sometimes miss? Go play 20 with gravity ball then.
Also disagree with what? You stated 2K at least corresponded to the release, when pinpoint in MLB does the same thing, so both take skill.

Isn't that why it's called 'Pinpoint?'

If an ump is giving the corners in real life that is one thing......they all aren’t perfect....he is giving the corner, but this is stupid the way it’s exactly on the border at will.

Once you do the gesture you have to time the pitcher’s release, which is different for every pitcher and a lot harder on higher difficulties

Why is that stupid? Seems you are arguing that the game should override good input by making it miss even if they have the skill/ability to do so.
Which again, go play 20 then.

It is, that player put the time in to master it and is being rewarded for his good input.
