Is directional ever the answer?
-
I started out the year great, I believe I was averaging about 7 runs my first 10 or so games using PCI... suddenly I can’t hit anyone or anything. Last 4 games I’ve totaled 3 runs.. I have no idea why? I was getting shutout and said screw it and switched to directional where I proceeded to put up 4 homers in 3 innings... I don’t want it to bite me later if I stray away from PCI but it is not enjoyable striking out 17 times in a game. Any directional users or do I play it out using PCI and hope to get better with time?

Nothing wrong with going back and forth between the two, especially when you’re slumping

I have always switched between all 3. Analog is my least favorite but it has worked to clear some pesky moments.
But yeah I have switched in the middle of a game plenty of times. If the game is skewing out of your favor or you are just losing your timing, changing batting methods is a great idea.
Honestly every time a new show comes out or they patch swing timing, the best thing to do would be go directional for awhile and get the timing down, then when you change to zone and use your pci location skills timing would be better ingrained.
