Well, it does say “Increase to hitting difficulty in Diamond Dynasty” in the upcoming patch notes.

I hope there are a lot of fixes because with the game as is I have no desire to play online, it's just not an enjoyable experience right now. I can't believe I am saying this but I think I'll head back to '19 if I want to play online. at least until the next patch.

I've already said this game is 18 with viable contact hitters. Power is all that matters.
