Trying to complete 1st Inning Showdown and wanted to go practice first against a comparable pitcher because his [censored] is tough to hit. Who is the most comparable pitcher to Valenzuela, who is available in custom practice, both in terms of velocity and similar pitch types?

Have you tried taking the first 2 pitches of every atbat against him. He will eventually serve up some meatballs in late counts. Also he will walk alot of batters.

No one. if you batting mostly righties you got to think right field or right center.
without a slider it might be easier to hit lefty on him then righty. -
Needed 5 to win, was patient, hit 3 Home runs off him including the walk off with Luis Robert. Make him throw it in the zone. You'll get pitches to hit.

Thanks for the tip guys. Took your advice and was as patient as possible. He started getting wild and had no choice but start pitching me fastballs down the pipe. Took him all the way into the yellow at 90 something pitches before he gave up the sac. fly that won it for me with 3 outs remaining.

Go to batting practice mode and hit the cages. You should be able to get him on the mound.
