Would love to know what the double play rate is when hitting compared to real life

Most of that is the location of the pitch and the Swing path of the hitter. It has always been easy get someone to ground into a double play in the SHOW.

Generally pitchers make certain pitches to try to induce a double play (low pitches). Especially with the CPU. You could ground into 10 double plays a game if you swing at every pitch. You need to look for a pitch up. At least high in lower zones.

Except against the cpu when the tying or go ahead run is involved
