I just signed a one year deal after my initial contract. After this deal is up, do I enter free agency? I thought I saw something about needing six years of experience before you can become a free agent.

That’s for the minor leagues. Once you make the big league roster then it’ll start the 6 yr clock for actual free agency.

6 full years. If you get called up in May and play the rest of the season, it doesn’t count as a full year.
