Weird defensive animations

Decided to give ranked a try for the first time this year and are others seeing weird defensive animations like I witnessed?

1st was my opponent had runners on 1st and 2nd and he hits a pretty high pop fly to left center not all that deep. My LF Clemente is running to get under it but I noticed a red ring around the icon to catch the ball. I was confused because the play wasn’t even close to being a diving catch as I had all day to get under the ball so much my opponent already returned his runners to base.

Well when he gets to the red ring it was like a force field and just stopped him briefly and then as the ball came down he lunges at it comically missing it and allowing it to drop. Better yet my CF Puckett who was behind Clemente also makes a comical stab for the ball missing it then the ball apparently had enough speed to get to the wall allowing a run.

Next his pitcher hits this SLOW four hop grounder to 2b and idk if the grounds crew accidentally left a rake in the infield or what? Jackie coming for the easy play and tripped over something allowing the runner to be safe.

Connection was great all game and with that pop fly my opponent obviously was seeing the same thing I was. Have you guys experienced weird stuff like this? If so I’ll just stick to offline til it’s resolved
