And honestly just to say something about your comment. You don’t have to be book smart in order to be successful. That’s a load of you know what. You have to strive to be better, be more determined, work hard, and not take no for an answer. Book smarts are a joke.

Since none of the other answers were up to your standards, I’ll give it a go.
Last year you could check swing on every pitch and have 95% not get called a swing. This year they have made it more difficult to do that.
How many guys in the majors have you seen check swing multiple times a game let alone an at bat and get the call almost every time? Pretty sure the ump would call one a swing just because. -

Not normally multiple times an at bat. Every at bat

But to get back on topic, last year, especially higher divisions, it was abused. Some players would check swing every single pitch that wasn’t a FB (I wish I was exaggerating but I’m not). This year is way more realistic. I’ve had games last year where the opponent check swung 50+ times a game and have it be a strike 2-3 times max. That’s extremely unrealistic

An opinion based question would be: "Do you like the changes that SDS made to check swinging, or do you prefer the previous system"?

This is why there should be a minimum age requirement for forum use.

That is a question of fact, not opinion. You should cover that in 8th grade English, so no fault of your own, keep studying and hitting the books, you'll be there in another year.

I agree it was abused. However, it’s too nerfed. They need to find a happy medium. I think I’ve been successful on check swings maybe 10% of the time.

That's not a fact. Check swings are still in the game, in fact I see little difference from last year. If someone could answer the original question of what they did, that would be great... Change the success rate? Change what you have to do? What did they do?

all the scrubs coming in complaining about check swings. get better!! the skill gap has been increased this year. people are realizing they're not as good as they think they are. great job SDS

That's not a fact. Check swings are still in the game, in fact I see little difference from last year. If someone could answer the original question of what they did, that would be great... Change the success rate? Change what you have to do? What did they do?
Prior to this year, check swings were based on the cards discipline, they REMOVED that from the game.
Now, it's 100% based on user input. In order to have a successful check swing, you have to barely tap the button, and very quickly. Otherwise, you're swinging.
This was all discussed in-depth during a SDS live stream prior to the release of this years game, to thunderous applause. It was a much needed change.
