NO CPU for custom Leagues?

So, we do not have online franchise, because SDS wants to wedge everyone into Diamond Dynasty -- fine. Why is it that we cannot have a custom season/league with CPU team? I do not have 30 friends who play DD, but I do have my brothers who would like to run a league together with CPU teams included.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to add CPU teams or this another example of SDS trying to wedge people into their financially beneficial game mode?

You have been able to do this the last two years now. Any team that isn't filled by human players are controlled by the CPU.

You just have to have someone to join as the teams that you want to be CPU and have them quit and repeat the same thing

Make the league size whatever you want it to be, and have you, or your friends join as the team’s that you want to be CPU then have them leave the lg and you invite them back and repeat the process, and it will have a CPU take the spot for the team until someone joins as the team that is a CPU
