Long time fifa ultimate team trader and I'm trying to apply the same concepts here. How often do they regular cards get updated (if at all). For example.. kirby yates is a bluejays diamond worth approx 15K.. now he's injured for the year so when he gets downgraded, he would go to gold losing a lot of value. Can the same be done for 83 and 84? Buying them for 5K in the hopes they get upgrade to diamonds?

In a word yes, however the rating and subsequent market value ist always as black and white. Also I don't believe injury effects the rating. It doesn't go up but it doesn't go down either. If however Kirby wasn't injured and just started giving up a bunch of hits and runs then yes it would probably go down after a couple of updates.

Verlander increased in value after his injury last season while his rating never changed.
