I just want to have my separate 3B and Pitcher saves...

WHY? I have been playing The Show since PS2. Why did you go and ruin the game this year by making me use ONE PLAYER and worse still, I have to be Shohei Ohtani? I don’t want to have pitcher as my secondary position. I’m sorry to complain, but this is infuriating and such an absurd design decision. And no, I don’t want diamond dynasty intertwined with my game either. I have nothing against it, but if I want to play DD then I would play it. Stop forcing it on me.
Signed.
Extremely disappointed very long term The Show player. -
you can make another save file as just a pure pitcher or fielder. the only thing is it will be the same looking player just a different load out

No, you can’t, because everything is tied into having a single player tied in with diamond dynasty and the other modes. And btw, unlike Xbox players, I’ve been playing RTTS going all the way back to the PS2 era. I buy the game EVERY SINGLE SEASON and I play multiple different careers through the RTTS mode depending if I feel like pitching or hitting, etc. It looks like a lot of players do that. And even if I did start over using a pitcher as the single player, you still are forced into diamond dynasty with the integration of your player into that mode.
And btw, I contacted Sony Support to ask for a refund. That’s how pissed off I am about this game. But of course, “Sorry, you’ve already played the game so you can’t get a refund.” You mean, a game that is disconnected from the servers 50% of the time? So I have to keep a game that doesn’t work and also has the only mode I’ve cared about for years gutted in the game. GREAT customer service, Sony. I guess I can just go play on Xbox. I mean, you guys don’t create any good games. You just buy other companies that do the hard work. But hey, at least I can get a refund if a game is completely unplayable two days after launch.

Once you finish your first few games you get to choose whether you want to stay a two way or just be a pitcher or a position player so yes you can have two different saves. My progression has been working off and on and my pitcher is up to a 72 without playing any dd games with him so no you really don’t have to play the mode if you don’t want to, yes your progression might be a bit faster if you do but you don’t have to and really I find it a lot better this way usually we can get up into the high 80s low 90s within the first year which is just kind of dumb

People complain about everything its amazing

They said during the feature premiere "We noticed almost everyone has 2 players or more, now we're combining everything in one player that will have multiple loadouts."
So basically, they missundertood how we play, how the enjoyed the game and made a big mistake... Or... They did it on purpose to drag us to DD monetized system... My guess is little bit of both...
What I find funny with the loadouts is that on day 1, I'm a speedy CF hitting for contact and they other day I can be a DH hitting for the fences that never ran a day in his life... I wonder how can anyone think that something SO unrealistic could be implemented in a game call "Baseball Simulation". I guess it's not a simulation anymore....
