I play on a monitor but tried it on my tv and didn’t have an issue hitting. Maybe try starting the ah with your pci higher so you can get to the fastball quicker

The game is bad because every year the online hitting is more Ridiculous and favored for people that stream with monitors
U just sound like ur making excuses for being bad at the game bro u need to man up and admit that ur not that good instead of blaming the game

Use custom practice mode. The up and in fastball is what always gets me 90% of time. Watch that release point out of the pitchers hand and learn to recognize pitches. There are plenty of top 50 guys on Youtube that give some real good tutorials. Look up Mr. Gravy, Koogs46, Shelfy, McGunski, and Fuzzy, (there are more, but these are the most popular) and they give some really good pointers. But yes, a monitor does help A LOT

That’s exactly what I was going to ask you.. I switched last year and will never go back. Check out a new TV if you don’t make the switch. A lot of TVs have just as low input lag as monitors these days. Plus if you have next gen, take advantage of hdmi 2.1. Ps5 is suppose to get a near future update for VRR too.

This. TVs vs monitors at 60 frames isn’t even a big difference these days. The statement that “I can hit on a TV” isn’t relevant anymore.
Response time and input lag = good hitting
Good hitting = good player
Good player = Stubs and Cards
Stubs and Cards = forum supremacy

Cant hit fastballs? LOL I'm so early on even high inside fastballs until I reach Hall of Fame difficulty at 700. Legend is a little fast, but I still beat the computer on it all the time. Bottom line is you have to have a monitor to play this game competitively

Timing window is off. They didn't fix it last year. Doubt they do this year. They need to over haul the hitting system.

The game would be good if it worked. Network issues are horrible

I felt that way toward the end of last year.
This year doesn’t seem nearly as bad. I’d assume it will only get worse if they ramp speeds up or when everyone is using pitchers with outliner. But I do agree with your larger point...I always got the top players using monitors, but when it feels like you need one to play on all-star that’s just garbage game design. It doesn’t matter how much I love or play the game, I’m not buying a monitor and creating a dedicated setup to play this game,

It’s not rigged it’s input lag.

Honestly the game is too easy to hit right now. I can't get anybody out unless they are awful. Each Ranked Seasons game is a dang home run derby for both teams. Can't wait till I make it to HOF difficulty to actually enjoy playing a good competitive game.
Complaints early on that is was too easy to hit are what turned 20 Into an RNG fest last year. Wait until there are some half decent pitchers in the game before saying it's too easy to hit off of live series gold cards
^ this. These [censored] hats are going to ruin this game because they cant wrap their head around a 74 overall pitcher is going to get rocked or that they just dont know how to pitch or hit. I swear ill drop ‘21 like I did ‘20 last year if they do anything to the gameplay.

So how do you explain players ranging from the bottom Spring Training Division all the way up to WS Division hitting in the .300-.400+ AVG range? Additionally, putting up ridiculous numbers in each of the other offense categories?
I suck at hitting fastballs too right now. At the beginning, I was mashing them, but now in a slump where I feel like I just can't catch up to them. But I know it's not the game, it's me.
Just go to custom practice and practice hitting fastballs from a variety of top notch pitchers. It's gonna take time if you don't already have a knack for it.
-
A monitor is not required to be good at this game lmao. I play on a 55" 4K TV and make WS with ease every season. God forbid you blame your own lack of skills...

I don't have a monitor and I made the world series in 19' and pretty close last year. I don't even consider myself that good of a player other than i can hit a fastball but I can't aim my pci very well. My Tv has game mode and that makes a difference. pitch selection and good pitching should help you win some games.
you don't need a monitor to win in this game, it certainly helps but it didn't make me a whole lot better. at the end of the day I still can't aim my pci which is more important than reaction time IMO.

i'm loving the game - and i am crushing the ball - so just remember pal, that if you aren't good at something - practice if you care about it - otherwise move onto something else that you may like
ps. i hope you don't play golf in real life - you would break clubs or just walk off the green after the 4th

No you don't, they mad user input matter more this year.
If you can't hit it means you are not as good as you thought you where when input actually matters.
I got the wake up call and I'm taking my beatings online and having to get better. Put in the work and good it will come with time
Quite whining and get to work!
-
I got a monitor this year and yeah I still suck LOL
