42 Card/Squad Issue?

Not sure if this should happen or not, but I am able to Start Pedro's 42 card and close out the game with Pedro's rookie card. I thought you couldn't use the same player twice in a squad?

It’s a glitch that will get patched. Happened for a short time last yr too
