Smart Observations From Opening Weekend

- Glad they consolidated the XP reward path and Team Affinity stuff.
- Lots of nice little improvements to various navigation/other screens. Being able to see the current market price of a player in the upper right of the inventory screen, seeing more pitcher/hitter detail on the in-game pause menu, and having the mph range of a pitcher when holding R2 are a few examples.
- New navigation screens took a night to get used to, but I like them now.
- Team Affinity Showdown is probably too easy. I’m decent but not great (usually top out at low 800’s in RS) but after failing my first 2 attempts, I’ve won the Showdown 5-6 times in a row with only one being a nail-biter. Almost obligated to keep knocking these things out since a full Showdown only takes 45-50 min.
- Why so many birds? It’s like the Galapagos out there.
- Small thing, but I’d like a louder, more satisfying crack of the bat on perfect contact
- Lourdes Gurriel rakes
- Other than having my 3B somehow not tagging a runner directly in the baseline during a rundown, everything seems really smooth and tight to me
- I’ve been lucky this year. They somehow glitched my preorder rewards, so I opened them all the first night (while having all the same issues everyone had), then the next day I had all the same packs sitting there again but I still had all the players opened the night prior (so got a total of 4 42’s, etc). Then got Tatis in one of those packs.
