I don't care. This isn't real baseball, it's a video game. I love it when all the swing happy scrubs will no longer get bailed out by faulty game mechanic. Been lobbying for it all year and now y'all gonna have to develop some actual skill. Good luck!

Oh there is realism, the check swing mechanic is based on the input. If you press and release fast enough you get a check swing. All they did was tweak the slider to make it much more sensitive. Guess you’ll have to develop an eye at the plate rather than guessing fastball all the time and getting bailed out when it’s a tunneled slider and you’ve already committed to the swing.

Nope, sir, you’re wrong. There was no assumption made. I literally have not had a check swing go against me that didn’t deserve to be called a strike. Why you ask? Because I actually have a decent eye at the plate. I don’t sit and guess. I react to what is thrown at me. I either swing or don’t swing very rarely do I ever check swing and when I do I know whether I have committed or not. So go complain elsewhere, you’re not getting away with that bs this year. There is nothing in that statement that mentions skill. Which is the assumption you made. I didn’t say something like “get good” or “you suck”. I simply stated that you now have to commit to the pitch. And that now you can’t sit dead red and expect to be bailed out when you fully depress the swing button momentarily than realize when it’s already too late that you’ve been had by something else you weren’t expecting. So yes, you are factually incorrect that I made any assumption of your skill.

Most people who are new somewhere tend to be somewhat humble, but this is the internet so there's no etiquette of course. I do have to say that if your gonna behave like this all the time, I can't wait to see you leave in a few months when you're done crying about all the things you don't like and accepted the fact that this game just might not be for you.

Last season, check swings were totally broken and unrealistic. Now it's much better. Batters dont start their swing fastball every time, then check up when it's not. They stopped letting the game mechanics bail players out, at least with remedying this broken gameplay mechanic.

I’ve been playing this game for a very long time. It just cracks me up how guilty and defensive your comment was. I’m also not interested in continuing to argue. I’m not crying. I just added my opinion. I didn’t threaten to leave or anything. I just think it needs to be adjusted a little back in the other direction. Funny how people talk tough on the internet and then immediately try to play victim.

I agree. I just think they over adjusted. Maybe I’ll feel differently once my PS5 arrives. It sounds like the new controls are more sensitive.

I didn't do either of those things, I told you my perspective on the issue. Then you came up with some ridiculous argument about SDS catering to those who spend money while in this particular case it's actually the exact opposite and you yourself are proof of this. You have casual written all over you and here you are complaining about this decision. I haven't heard a single top player complain about it yet, because we asked for this the entire year. And like I said, the top players don't spend real money so that argument was 100% wrong and all you could counter with was "LMFAO".

All I know is that your crying won't amount to anything, SDS isn't exactly known for taking feedback and implement change as a result of that feedback. Let me explain something to you; the people who cried for this mechanic to be completely overhauled or completely removed are the ones who don't spend a dime on this game but belong in the upper echelons of competitive play. They can make their millions of stubs by just playing and therefore don't need to spend real money, not a single dollar. So your assumptions are wildly off.

I just added my opinion. I didn’t threaten to leave or anything. I just think it needs to be adjusted a little back in the other direction. Funny how people talk tough on the internet and then immediately try to play victim.
I didn't do either of those things, I told you my perspective on the issue. Then you came up with some ridiculous argument about SDS catering to those who spend money while in this particular case it's actually the exact opposite and you yourself are proof of this. You have casual written all over you and here you are complaining about this decision. I haven't heard a single top player complain about it yet, because we asked for this the entire year. And like I said, the top players don't spend real money so that argument was 100% wrong and all you could counter with was "LMFAO".

Last season, check swings were totally broken and unrealistic. Now it's much better. Batters dont start their swing fastball every time, then check up when it's not. They stopped letting the game mechanics bail players out, at least with remedying this broken gameplay mechanic.
I agree. I just think they over adjusted. Maybe I’ll feel differently once my PS5 arrives. It sounds like the new controls are more sensitive.

I wasn't really engaged in this debate to be right. You could've saved all this time and go practice on pitch recognition and plate discipline and you'd already be a better player than you were when you created this thread.
