I completely agree, the PS4 and PS5 should be synced up automatically. It's the same system, same controller, same psn account. There should be a simple way to do that for now and worry about the xbox stuff later.
I only got it for Xbox this year lol. So I need an Xbox solution! Lol. I bought a series X specifically for the show. Well also because I want to play Halo this year too.

i logged into this site by pressing the xbox button instead of the show. It still shows the xbox and ps as connected and says it not yet linked to a show account. I believe this is where the problem is. They have to get these unconnected to free them back up. Of course if I try to connect them in the site, it brings up the choices, both of which just error out.
You have any idea why everything shows up on my PS4 but when I look up my username on The Show marketplace website it reflects everything being gone? I guess that's what I'm trying to figure out. What is the PS4 linked to?
I don't know, because I never linked the PS4, it just started linked.

I hear ya. I just decided to check it out on my xbox series x just because it was part of gamepass and I wanted to see if it looked the same between the 2 new systems. That was dumb.

I was so close to just waiting the extra four days and playing on GamePass. Of course I caved the last minute on Friday, spent the $100 and now dealing with this [censored]. Wish I would have waited.
-
They just need to wipe out and disconnect everything that was done since the linking, then perhaps it would auto link to the proper account like the ps4 did.
-
Does anybody care if they lose the progress from the 2nd startup with none of the extra content? I sure don't care.

Yeah, that's the whole weekend off of work thing. Gets me every time. Speaking of which, I expect this to be fixed by the time I get back home, LOL.

I may have discovered a workaround that just let me get back in with my team and all the lost content. The issue here seems to be that it's moving our content off our console accounts and onto the MLBTS account without linking them, and then locking us out of trying to link them with these errors we're getting.
So what I did was try to see if I could make a new PSN account and link my MLBTS account, which has all of my content on it, with that new PSN account, and it worked. It won't link my MLBTS account with my old PSN account, but when I did it with the new one I made it restored everything I lost. I did then try to unlink it and relink it to my old PSN account, but that did not work with the same Platform Exclusivity error it gave me before. So this is a temporary thing until SDS gets this fixed, but hopefully this will work for some other folks as well and at least get us playing in the mean time. Hope this helps some people!

Just want to comment on the "you could lose your progress" thing. I believe when it says that, it means your MLBTSO account will overwrite what is on your local Playstation or Xbox. That is the "progress" you would lose. Not that it ever works anyway, it's just how I've been perceiving that warning. Please tell me if you guys are taking that differently. That is what makes sense to me.

This is how it has worked for me, yes.

WARNING: I tried this, created a new PSN account and was able to link my MLBTS account to it. I previously was able to see my Stubs/Inventory/Progress from the early access on the website. Now it shows ZERO stubs. Even when I unlink, it did not revert to the previous state. Proceed with caution.

Thanks for taking another bullet for us. I'm not sure how much more damage we can take on though.

I mean I bought the preorder, took the day off Friday to play. I had Trout, had over 100,000 stubs. Most of my starting lineup had parallels upgraded to level 2. Lots of content completed. Not to mention not being able to progress on the account since Monday, feel like I'm way behind now. I'm really, really hoping they can restore the link.

Wow that stinks. Hoping we hear back soon. At this point I feel like we’ve all exhausted our communication options. I even used some chat feature on here lol, to try to get in touch with SDS. no replies yet.

Same. PlayStation is my primary console, but I wanted to try it on my Xbox i use for Gamespass. Biggest mistake ever, but figured since they advertised cross-platform progression, it would be pretty sweet.

All my progress is currently on my MLBTS account. I have absolutely nothing on my PS4 as of right now as it's unlinked. If I overwrite what's on my PS4 (again, nothing) with my MLBTS account, my stuff could be possibly be restored to my PS4 if it worked? That's how I would perceive that. Any thoughts?

Because of what we've all been through, I don't think any of us have confidence to guess what might happen if you go that route. But, we will say give it a shot and let us know how it goes!
My stuff got wiped from the website, PS5 and XBOX but for whatever reason shows up on my PS4. I'm beyond a loss for words.

Received a new response from SDS:
Miguel (The Show)
Apr 22, 2021, 11:04 AM PDT
Hello,
Thank you for your message. Lets walk through some information and troubleshooting steps regarding Linking/Unlinking your Xbox and PlayStation data with your The Show Online account. The way the TheShow.com account system works, is you can login individually to each account, PlayStation or Xbox, separately, alternatively, if you want to Link/Unlink these accounts to share progression, you have to use a The Show Online account to do so. To Link/Unlink and manage your The Show Online account, please make sure the account marked (Current Session) under Linked Accounts on your Dashboard is NOT Xbox or PlayStation.
You can only Unlink your Xbox and PlayStation accounts using your The Show Online account. To Link/Unlink accounts Make sure you are logged in under your The Show Online account labelled (Current Session) under Linked Accounts on your Dashboard.
Please note that Stubs you purchase are tied to their respective platform Xbox or PlayStation, however, earned Stubs are universal. You can also Link/Unlink your account to your The Show Online account in-game!
Once you have have signed into the game, you can Link up with a PSN or XBN account if you already have one. This also allows your account to sync with previous versions of MLB The Show that were available on PlayStation.
Select the Link Account option from the Main Menu
A URL and code will be displayed
Visit the URL on another device and enter the code
Enter or Create a The Show Online email and password - this will Link your XBN or PSN account to your The Show Online
On the Account Link confirmation screen there is an option to Link to an XBN or PSN account
Select this and sign in with the correct XBN or PSN credentials
There is no requirement to create an account while playing the game, only to sync with previous history or stats if the customer already has an existing The Show Online and/or XBN or PSN account
You can Unlink your account via the Ballplayer Hub in-game at any time
We understand this is a lot of information at once. If any of this becomes unclear to you please do not hesitate to respond with your The Show Online, XBN, and PSN account IDs and any further information you may find helpful.
Thank you for playing The Show!I tried it and when I do it gives me a warning on their website that I will lose all my data, etc and it will reset my account. I figure F' it as I just want to play. So I clicked OK. Then it gives me an error, "error trying to link platforms exclusively" so it doesn't work either.

Their site and system is all sorts of messed up, when I log into theshow.com with my MLB login it shows ONLY my MLB is connected and "current session" for both Xbox an PSN it shows they are NOT CONNECTED.
If I login with either my XBOX ID or my PSN ID those both show XBOX and PSN connected but MLB is NOT CONNECTED.
It's like a "the chicken and the egg riddle", which comes first?
