SDS are you Serious no PS5 Disc Version?

My only issue with companies offering digital version to combat resellers is that the digital version should be at least $10 cheaper.
There are no production costs for digital versions once the game goes to print. The companies save both actual production costs on discs, cases, and distribution when we buy digital versions. Their savings, particularly including not only production but the elimination of the resell market, should be passed on to the players.
Well put. Especially complete elimination of the resell market is enough to prove consumers are being shafted. The PS store’s monopoly has digital PlayStation users by the testicles.

but I bought the disc version of the ps5 so I could have flexibility, while also saving storage by buying disc games.
That hasnt been a thing for a while. If you have the disk version it just uses the disk to install the game on the HDD/SSD rather than download. Disk drives are WAY too slow to access data from during gameplay. Especially with the new systems using a super fast SSD. That would defeat the purpose.
and if you want i can send you ss of proof, if you're that persistent
I have many disk games, they all install the same space of data on your HDD as digital versions. Including MLB TS

Yet somehow my next gen nba 2k21 disc version takes up 63.89GB when digital takes up 120?
Lol, no idea man. Guy commented right after you saying his was much bigger.
Lol, no idea man, you should have kept reading because he has both the ps4 and ps5 versions of the game downloaded.
He never said that. Quit trying to make up stuff man. Disk and digital are the same size. bottom line. Common knowledge.
Similarly I just checked, and my Miles Morales disc version takes up 39.07 GB while the digital takes up 50 on ps5.... so that's two games.... and I doubt my ps 5 is any different from anyone else out there. And if you don't believe me I've got ss.... So it is common knowledge that discs do save space. Bottom line.

With my ps4 I saved everything to an external hard drive. I know it can be risky if the drive crashes but it saves me a tonne of room

Same amount of risk as internal HDD crash so you’re good there

Yeah its a good idea but for a 1tb ssd its $100+, and I'm a broke college student.

Fair enough. I got a 2tb on sale

Same here. I picked up a 5 TB drive in a sale on Amazon for about $125 and moved all of my games to it. My entire library - about 200 games - is on there now. If there's an apocalypse after which I'm alive and have electricity, between my Kindle Oasis and my PS4/5, I won't be bored.

Yeah hard drives are solid, but they take so much longer to load games, especially compared to an ssd, but the problem is that you can get a 1tb ssd for the price of a 5 tb hard drive

I just looked on Amazon. They have a 5 tb hard drive and a 1 tb ssd. It just isn't possible to get a 5tb ssd for $125, even in you got a 50% off sale. I just looked on newegg and found a 2 tb ssd for $240. I'm not sure if you know what the difference is between the two, because ssd is drastically more expensive than a hard drive, and there's no way you got a 5tb ssd, especially because the biggest ssd I could find was 3.84 tb also on newegg for $1200

I'll double-check my purchase history on Amazon. If it's not solid state, it's the quietest, smallest external plate-spinner that I've ever seen.
Edit: you're right, of course. This is the drive, bought on 11 July for $104:
"Seagate Portable 5TB External Hard Drive HDD – USB 3.0 for PC, Mac, PS4, & Xbox - 1-Year Rescue Service (STGX5000400), Black"
Obviously that would have to be an HDD, as you say, because SSD tech is still overpriced by a large margin.
I need to check my vaporizer to see if someone spiked my fluid, because otherwise I just had a brainfart of epic proportions.
In any case, it's fast and quiet. I love having it.

Don't call me a lair when I'm laying out the facts that my NBA 2k is 63.89 gb with a disc, and if you look up how much space it takes up digitally, it says 120gb. So who tf is lying now buddy
