Is it time to stop preordering games and buying on day 1?

First off, I am in no way talking about The Show. I will always have this game on release day because it has no history of being "broken" upon purchase. But other games like the ongoing fiasco with Madden 21, and the new release of Cyberpunk 2077 (at least on console, PC seems fine), and countless other games over the past few years that just feel like a BETA product presented to us for us to find the problems and wait for patch after patch. I mean I think I just read that Madden is removing kickoffs because of a glitch lol.
It just seems the problem is getting more and more out of hand, and until people start speaking with their wallets I dont see it stopping.
Came across this YouTube video today. Basically making fun of this very situation.
