HUGE SILVER SALE -- EVERYTHING MUST GO!
-
I had a look at my inventory earlier and found that after buying loads of packs to flip mostly Gold and Diamond cards, I've got an enormous number of Silver cards.
I'm hanging on to most of my Bronze and Common cards for exchanges and such, and of course because it takes forever to unload then for not much return.
Over the next whatever length of time it takes, I'm unloading all of my Silver cards at DEEP discounts. A quick scan through my teams shows that I've got from a few to dozens of something like 97% of all Silver card types, so it's going to take a few days to sell them all. At a rough guess, of the 206 Silver card types, I've got at least a few of 200 of them.
Anyway, if you're looking to fill some gaps with Silver cards, many are on the way.
Tip: extra Silver cards are perfectly suited to finish Team Affinity collections. I did all 30 teams entirely through exchanges.
Enjoy!

One quick example, as it's a huge batch going for huge discounts.
I've been getting mid-2000s for Joe Morgan (78) for weeks. I'm putting 108 of them up momentarily for 888 each.
Enjoy!
-
Mostly done with 79, 78, and 77. I held some back (half of the Morgans, for example) when I noticed the time.
More later today.
-
missed out on a lot of these at 888, but still well below the usual price so scooped up a few for collections and exchanges. price is still much cheaper than normal though which is good for everyone. thanks!
-
Tons more going up over the next hour or so...
Joe Morgan, Eric Davis, Eddie Murray, Kike Hernandez among the highlights. Enjoy
-
33 Murrays just went up, 11 each at 888, 777, and 555 for the earliest takers. Patiently sold at around 1400 for weeks.
Next few minutes: 98 Joe Morgans going up, discounted from the current price of 2,703... selling for between 555 and 888.
Enjoy.
Edit: two dozen Eric Davis up for 777, 1,098 below the previous lowest price. Enjoy.

I just don't know why you would cut your throat like this for others to profit. Oh well. Not my loss.

I am guessing that he has nothing else to do with the stubs, and this is helping others.
I'm not complaining! -
Somebody else help me buy all of these! Joe Morgan and Eddie Murray, silvers. BUY NOW. lol
This is taking forever to buy all of these. -
Last batch for the night...
111 Kike Hernandez going up. Current price is 952. Reckon I'll let 'em go for about a third of that, maybe less.
Enjoy!
Edit: the ones mentioned aren't the only ones up at absurd discounts, btw. Neris, Robles, and hundreds more... just seems silly to mention each one.

As for undercutting the market, I've made millions of Stubs all year by doing precisely that as many people have done, I'd guess. Not to the current level, of course... but the quickest way toward millions of Stubs is to buy loads of Gold players for 1114 or more and then sell them at 2222+.
There's basically never a shortage of people willing to sell Gold players for just a bit more than they'd get from a Quick Sell. I tend to assume that these sales occur mostly during pack openings when people get Golds that they've already acquired. As for selling in the 2000s, it tends to work because far too many people are a bit too greedy, leading to the average sale price for an 80-82 rated player being in the mid-3000s, making a small batch in the 2,000s quite a bargain for anyone in the market to buy.
As for the current sales at kind prices, I'm still making a profit on the sales, just not nearly as much of one as I could make if I strung the sales out over a week or so. I like to be kind, but I'm not likely to cut my own throat by literally buying at 500 and selling at 400, for example... that would be just ridiculous. However, I will happily sell off a big batch that I've bought over the weeks for about 500 each at 700, tucking away a small profit for each and helping others to get their collections and Stubs balances going as the year winds down.
Frankly, if any of the above bothers anyone who's consistently trying to sell for outrageous prices, well... that doesn't bother me or move me in the slightest.

As for damaging the market or some such concept, here's a question for those who have a problem with selling loads of cards for less profit than could be achieved in the name of helping other players who haven't been able to have as much success.
On the rare occasion that I'm matched up with someone who is really quite bad at hitting, with a record of like 10-50, I generally not only switch to full Pitch-to-Contact mode but tell them that I'm doing so and encourage them not to quit if they fall behind, as they'll get actual practice at hitting pitches if they stick around. I had such a game recently with a player who sent me a message after I'd scored 3 in the top of the 1st, sighing that he knew he would lose because he always loses. I told him that I prefer playing games with actual offense, thus I throw a lot of strikes, and suggested that he stick around. He did play the full nine innings and we had a really enjoyable game with a final score of 9-10-0 to 5-11-1. Yes, I won, but he had fun and we had a great conversation, during which I suggested that a great way to practice hitting is to use the Daily Challenges, which he's now been doing for a few days.
So... am I "hurting the game" by encouraging players who otherwise normally quit after two or three innings when they've been fooled by pitch after pitch and rarely made contact... in other words, not had any fun at all and gotten so discouraged that quitting is normal for them? I don't think that I'm doing anything wrong or harmful there, in fact I'd argue the opposite.
Why have so many people seemingly forgotten that we are discussing and playing a GAME? Yes, it's fun to win... but it should also be fun to PLAY. If you derive pleasure solely from grinding the opponent into dust, then honestly I feel sorry for you.

So you are passing this off as a true act of altruism? Lol. Go and look that up, you clearly don't understand it. From the all caps title to all the bluster about how you help people, it all screams "look at me. I'm a top bloke".
You need a virtual pat on the back, I'll give you one. You're a top bloke.
Remember, it's just a game. That's why I don't tie my sense of self worth to it. Lol
