I can’t seem to make it past pennant race because when I get to like 499 I face guys who all they do is bunt. Then when I get to 500-525 I face lineups that are fully prestiged. Can’t seem to catch a break with the matchmaking. Also I’m tired of having so many perfect line outs. The reason I lose game. Line outs, and facing god squads

well, you cant be mad at godsquads in november.

I play around the same level around you and I rarely see bunt cheeses.
If you encounter that a lot, @raesONE has a few posts on how to stop it.
Believe me when I say this as well, players help but the user is what wins games. Around the 400-600 level I usually have the better team and I get outhit because I cant match the PCI to the ball like my opponents do. It is as simple as that.
I am on a 4 game lose streak by no fault of my own. Keep playing man, all the serious players of the Show are around this time of year so you will be facing better players.

Thanks man. Any links to his posts? Also the very early home runs also seem to be bad

This is what he posted in another thread...
"From now on whenever you suspect a guy of bunting, do this:
Press down on the D-pad to bring up the defensive alignment menu;
Set the duration to "batter" (or you'll play like this for the entire game which you obviously don't want);
Scroll to position and manually select the 2B;
Scroll down and play him "In";
Go back to position and now select the 3B;
Scroll back down and play him on either "drag bunt", or "bunt defense" or "halfway". It doesn't really matter, as long as he's somewhere in between home plate and 3B.
Rinse and repeat every time a guy is up who might bunt.The only way they can now bunt to get on base is by dropping a perfect bunt just in front of the catcher, where he'll need too much time to pick it up and throw it over. But this is a rarity."

In all star tho? Your telling me players can have all prestige players but aren’t in the higher ranks? Good enough to prestige but not good enough to be in wild card or higher?

yes. You don't have to be good to get prestige players(trust me I'm not good), you just need to play a lot. Prestige is just getting stats, nothing else.

Ok, sorry if I was kinda mean abt it

Hornsby is pretty cheap as of a few days ago. the DOTP mid round has some decent players selling for around 8-10k, maybe try out Ernie Banks, Chapman should be in your BP. Also go for Tatis and the WS program, which has lots of cards, you just need to grind.
-
I have a grinder team. I have Hornsby and need to try banks and Chapman

I started in August as a NMS player (really just to defeat the boredom of the summer during pandemic lockdown). I was able to get both Trout and Mantle. My son (11 year old) and I focused on completing all the Conquest maps (RIB was a great source of premium cards), Moments (really rewarding with the PostSeason) and the occasional Showdowns. You get so many packs and start breezing through the XP Reward Path and Team Affinity. We really had to save up stubs to buy some live series cards (Trout and Gerrit Cole), but it was a fun grind.

You absolutely can get Mantle with ease. Between the showdowns and conquest maps alone they will provide you with enough stubs and cards to grind it out pretty quickly. Also the topps now moments, some of those cards are still going for $20-30k. It took me 2-3 weeks back in August to grind out Mantle and there is far more stuff out now.

I don't think I've seen a proper bunt cheese all year. Is there a range where people see a lot of them?
-
Raes is just gonna tell you to move your 2nd basemen & 3rd basemen to “in”. When you do that the guy is just gonna contact swing & get singles at will. Your best course is to pitch them high fastballs & low off speed stuff below the strike zone. He’ll pop up & foul out more than he will successfully reach base.
-
So put your defense on bunt defense problem solved...............................

I have a really hard time taking posts like this seriously. Let me clarify, this game has major issues, but the way this reads is the OP hits perfect after perfects and the game screws him, he's basically pitching rebel i guess. There are things you can't control, but I bet there are plenty of things you can that you need to improve on.

I see them a lot as a bad player from 435-495
