Does this game need an update?

Like wow hitting is pretty dang bad lately lots of good hit balls are dying right at the warning track why more often than they normally do. Pitching doesn't seem controllable despite the good attributes on pitchers. Idk what happen between last week and now. This game feels super weird right now and I dont like it.

Whether it needs an update or not I can't say, what is pretty clear is that they are done updating the game besides content drops so... even if it does it won't.

Yes we are playing the same game. It just rewards other players more than some. The luck in this game is unbalanced.

Yes we are playing the same game. It just rewards other players more than some. The luck in this game is unbalanced.
I would rather have your problem than mine. All these slugfests have forced me off of online play. I agree with you on pitching. So inconsistent, doesn’t seem to matter anymore.

I think it's safe to say that there is something wrong with this game's online play it is too inconsistent no matter if it's the hitting or pitching. User skill needs to determine the outcome of the game, not this unbalanced mess we have. I'm only playing online now to try and at least prestige Ken Griffey Jr or maybe Finiset Yu Darvash. I don't have one single prestige player on my squad because of online play. It makes it so hard to so be we're not getting the results we should be getting when we do everything correctly when playing, whether that's hitting or pitching.

It needs a rebuild from the ground up. Every year since the inception of the new engine there have been game breaking flaws, from top spin, late hits and bad animations in ‘17, to pop ups and line outs and bad animations in ‘18, to line outs, outfielders not fielding balls near walls and bad animations in ‘19 to excessive home runs, outfielders not fielding balls near walls and bad animations in ‘20.
At least they’re consistent on the bad animations, the one that really pisses me off this year is when you get the ball to the base way ahead of the runner and the defending player pauses for a second and then chooses to attempt a huge sweeping tag motion with the glove hand, by which time the runner is invariably safe, despite your best efforts.
