Last night was a prime example for me of how this game can play so inconsistent from one game to the next. Not even talking about the differences between different modes(RS, Events, BR, etc), not talking about the differences between All Star and HOF. I’m talking the same mode, same difficulty, same time of day, same everything and it can play COMPLETELY different. Here are two box scores I had last night playing RS in consecutive games on All Star:

Game 1- I’m the away team playing in Old Miami.

    R H E
    1 4 0
    2 4 0

I had a single and a double in the top of the 1st for my only run. He hit a 2-R HR after a gift swinging bunt/slow motion IF animation single in the bottom of the 1st. We didn’t score again. I hit a perfect/perfect flyout to the warning track with 125/125 JRam vs a LHP in the 8th. Lots of hard hit balls with no results all game.

Game 2- I’m Home team at Shippet.

    R H E
    19 24 0
    20 22 0

Highest scoring game I’ve had all year. He hit 10 HR. I hit 13 HR. I went 4 for 5 with Seager in the 8 hole with 4 HR and a flyout to the warning track! Tied in the 9th he hits a 2-R HR with Alvarez to go up 18-16. Bottom 9, Tatis ties it with a 2-R HR. Top 10 he hits a solo shot with Ralph Kiner(4th of the game). Bottom 10 I walk it off with a 2-R Oppo-Taco with Trout.

I get it that not every game should play the same, but that’s just ridiculous to be the same mode, same difficulty and one game after the other. Any of you guys experience stuff like this?

Yes especially at Shippett. That stadium is known for being a home run derby event.

Played a game earlier today. Long story short, he scores 3 in the top of the 1st, I score 3 in the bottom half. He gets 2 more in the top of the 2nd, I follow up with 6 in the bottom. Top of third, he scores 5 with one out. I still have a 9-8 lead with one out in the top of the third but lose timing out due to all the futile pitching changes I’m making to try to stop the bleeding.

This has been EVERY ranked season game I have played over the past few weeks. Ranked season has become a joke and I think I’m done with it. Going to hang out in RTTS for awhile.

This is what I have learned after many years of play. You can usually tell within the first inning if you and your opponents connection is good or bad. I’ve gotten pretty good about seeing the signs. I just quit those games I don’t have time to waste playing a 45 minute lag fest. Since I started doing this the games I do play are much less frustrating. I understand this isn’t for everyone because some people’s egos are too big and don’t want their e peen to shrink. I don’t give a duck about what my record on mlb the rng show is. I just want to have fun. Cause that’s what you’re supposed to be doing while playing a game.
