Automatic roster moves while set on manual

I have all roster moves, lineups etc set on manual yet the computer keeps moving people around. This just started happening in year 3 of a franchise. What is the deal?

I have the same settings and my roster doesn’t change. My lineup changes only when I trade a player or bring one up. The rosters for computer controlled teams change though.

Apparently the mode specific got changed to a beginner profile instead of mine I think
