TA4 reveal thread

Red Sox: Xander Bogaerts. Also I wanted this thread to be as positive as possible but since that can of worms has already been opened here are my thoughts.
- SDS dug themselves a hole by making TA3 cards 97-99, making it so TA4 finest cards had to be 99
- You guys set yourself up for disappointment when you expected anything other than 99 finest cards. We have literally been saying TA4 was going to be finest since the day TA 3 game out(June 30)
- These cards being 99s doesn’t disrespect the all time greats. I can promise you they couldn’t care less and you are making a big deal out of it over nothing. They are just numbers on a card.
- How many cards did you guys plan on using from these anyway? You have been saying “this card won’t crack my lineup” for months. What did you expect to change?
- Be grateful there even was 120 diamond cards obtainable in TA. Last year the only TA card usable after the first month was Zack Britton, and we got literally nothing the rest of the season from TA

That is the thing. No one is ever happy. If the card is too good, people say 'Lou Gehrig didn't die for David Fletcher to be a 99 in a video game! Shame!' or if they were 97-98's everyone would be saying that these cards are no good and will never be used. SDS literally can't win at this stage of that game.

The sad thing is that the same group of people complain about both situations you describe

Basically how I feel. Expected, but pretty anti climactic. Honestly was more excited to get surprise WS MVP Pearce in the WS program than another Bogaerts with crappy fielding. (Although it was an iron pipe lock Bogaerts would be the card given how crappy the Sox were this year).

Anthony Santander for the orioles has been added to the original post
-
That Santander card is my favorite so far.

As I just said in another thread, if they hadn’t made so many juiced cards and handed them out like candy on Hallowe’en, then cards like Finest and legends like Mays would be standout cards that would generate a lot of interest as elite options at their positions. As it stands, you can just grab a Topps Now or PS flashback for doing a few moments that’s just as good.

genuinely asking since I don't pay attention to the orioles much but was Santander really that bad against lefties?
-
None of these cards break my line up so far

I agree that they rushed the 99's out too early and put themselves in a tough spot. Should there be a 99 Trea Turner or Alec Mills? No. They need to do better next year. But what can they do at this point to rectify it?

he hit .179

Diamondbacks revealed to be Zac Gallen. Looks good. I have a feeling the pitchers will be much more juiced than the hitters.
-
As soon as we knew they were finest i knew it would be underwhelming. Not a bad thing, im burnt on this game and this is one less thing I have to care about.
-
Nick Anderson next which is actually fairly useable assuming it isnt WS version
update: yeah definitely usable
-
Hello Mr Anderson
-
Anderson is the cream of the crop so far. Rays TA has been awesome all 4 stages.
-
I need a TA4 catcher. Any coming?
-
-
I'm liking that Nick Anderson card. Good numbers and a weird delivery should make him very usable. I think he might be making my bullpen.
