@raesONE
About a week ago you posted a setup that someone could use to combat bunts in H2H games.
Can you please post that again so I can save it?
Thanks in advance.
-
Bring the 2B and 3B in is how you combat bunts
-
I remember seeing that post too and I should've written it down or something. Ran into a situation where I needed it in a RS game last night. Played an all speed team and my opponent was constantly bunting. I had to keep pausing trying to figure out the setup and ending up forfeiting my game due to running out of pause time. I'm writing it down and gonna keep it by my side in case it happens again.
-
I have had people quit the moment I start off the game by moving my defense like this to combat their bunt heavy speed teams....
-
2B in and 3B either in or covering drag

This is the thread where I explained how to set it up. Best is to start a CPU game (no pause timer) and just mess around in the defensive alignment settings to get a hang of it. It would also benefit you to learn how to set it quickly because of the pause timer online; if you take too long and the guy has a team full of bunters you could get in trouble.

I’m a big fan of yours...Long time fan, First time caller...So what should he do when they start contact swinging & getting tons of singles because the defense is playing too shallow? I’ll hang up & listen to your answer.

You already asked me this multiple times and I already answered multiple times that contact swings are useless. And so what if some drop in every now and then? I can assure you 100% that bunting is more effective than contact swinging to get on base, so you HAVE to counter the bunt in order to not get abused. My experience is that guys who bunt are terrible hitters, hence why they're bunting. Even with contact swings they can't put the ball in play decently and they'll more than likely quit after an inning or two.
But by all means, you do you and don't take my helpful advice. Let them abuse the bunt because you're scared of the contact swing lol. Good luck.

All I know is whenever I can trick people into bunt defense at the beginning of the game, I then feast on singles & then steals. Especially with how many people use Foxx as their catcher now. But that’s just me personally. If you only get matched up with learning disabled people that can’t adapt then kudos to you. Keep it up kid

See it's funny to me how you adressed me earlier as being a big fan, while that was clearly sarcasm. You've done nothing but question me and try to bait me for no reason whatsoever. Someone asked for help and I tried to help. Apparantly many people thought it was helpful, because not only did the original post get a lot of upvotes but someone remembered (OP) but couldn't find the post so they took the effort to create a separate thread (this one) and tag me for advice.
And here you are trying to question me again while all I'm doing is trying to help someone. And to top it off, you end with "keep it up kid". I don't really know what you're trying to achieve with all this, but you're making yourself look really silly and I will not be baited by you.

It's not worth it, this is the same guy who tried to troll me when the Rays lost by mocking me and reminding me I said the WS counted.
He never responded after I said I stand by the statement even though the Dodgers won.
He lives to argue.

Not sure why you gotta purposely act like a spoiled kid especially to one of the best posters on this board. Why not play your way and let him play his way without being denigrating?

Thanks you are always helpful and typically spot on with your assessments on all things MLB The Show. Also you saying Roberts just hit 1 to Jupiter cracked me up so I borrowed it and have all the boys on my sons team trying to hit Jupiter they also love it and acouple of them came close this weekend
