When did they add splitter to his live series card?

Probably today, because he was dominating one all playoffs.

Having Tanaka in the clubhouse probably helped a lot in that regard.
True. I read an article where he said he thought a splitter would be more effective to right handers in tight situations. Ever since the 2-0 hanging slider to Altuve to end their season last year. And he was mostly right. His splitter looked good. Not a Yankee fan or a Chapman fan, but the guy developing a nice pitch late in his career you have to commend.

100% agree

I was wondering where those weird updates to his velo break and control were coming from without seeing the card as a yankee fan I'm not too sure I'd call it a splitter so much as him grabbing the ball and his velo was down all year making it look like something else

He throws a good Splitfinger this year. And I guess they put it on his LS card since his splitter was so prominent in the playoffs. I am not sure how much he was using it before the playoffs though.
