IF Griffey is sellable, do I grind for him ASAP, get him, sell him, and then buy him when he is cheaper?

Do you have a plan for the stubs? I'm just keeping him because I don't have anything to buy anyway

I mean, I am 24 FOTF away from 99 Trout, so I would use them for that. 🙂

I don’t see him having much value from the outset. You’ll get the usual rash of 1m stub orders as soon as he’s in the marketplace no doubt, but realistically, supply will far outstrip demand on this card and there will be no influx of new players unless SDS give the game away for free in December or January and even then, still a lot of Griffeys around.

Ok. So then I might not grind for him, and just buy him eventually. Right now I have the 98 Griffey, so I will just upgrade eventually.

Watch the market for Griff. If he is going down still then yes sell him wait till the market bottoms and buy him back. If he has already bottomed before you get him then no don't sell.

It won’t be a difficult grind. Showdown and conquest usually give you 1/3 of the stars needed right off the bat. Joe Morgan program and online stat mission will add more stars. Even if you only play a few games per day, you’ll easily get to 300 stars in the time provided. This card looks like an “everyone gets one free” kind of card, they want everyone to have him. I’m also expecting something like “collect X amount of PS2020 players for X amount of stars” if SDS are smart. They ought to be trying to incentivise people towards the Seager collection, it’s going to be expensive if you don’t have the cards you earned from moments.

More than one Griffey as the 300 stars reward might throw things off a bit. People could collect them and it will definitely split the market of Griffey cards into 3. So each card would be 3 times as rare as a previous selection of an inning player. I hope it is just one Griffey card and this doesn't get crazy.
