The lack of hard line drives is ruining the game
-
Most of the time when I get a hit, the ball seems to float in the air regardless of good and perfect inputs. Outfielders catch good/good and even perfect/perfect hits without problem. The ball seems to lack weight causing a lack of hard line drives. Anyone agrees ?

Also I may add the lack of hard liners affect power hitters as well.
-
I will allow you to add that.

Maybe its PCI placement, I hit plenty of line drives; I think the default location is too low IMHO!
-
You gotta be early or perfect now. The timing window is so screwed up it penalizes you for good contact

It's not very often you can just slam a gap or down the line for a stand up double unless you're in Coors or Laughing Mountain/Barnes Canyon.
Two issues I have are prepitch OF positioning is too close to the lines. If you click R3 and look at the amount of gap space in the alleys your think it'd be easy. It goes into problem number two, OFers cover too much ground. Even the best defensive players don't consistently run balls down like in game. That and a lot of times line drives seem to slow up so the fielder can lock into the catch animation. I feel like that animation kicks in too frequently taking away doubles.

The floating line drives have been a problem for a few years now. I know exactly what you mean.

You mean the ones that look like a hit 100% until it FLOATS right in to the fielders glove?

Yes. They look like they should fall then just sort of hang until they get to the outfielder.

While at the same time there is a disturbing abundance of hard line drives directly at a pitcher's head.
