I've been seeing a problem in auto baserunning in DD (vs CPU) when it comes to the decisions that the runners make. They're poor and stupid. I use auto baserunning because helps prevent my own mistakes, and I can take control of the baserunners whenever I like. But this is ridiculous.

Just now: Matt Wieters singles on a line to left-center field in Yankee stadium. The outfielder takes his time with the ball, and Matt—who has 30 speed by the way—thinks its a fabulous idea to go for two, and the ball subsequently beats him by a mile and he's out, which ends the inning in a one-run game.

I know, I know, I probably should've stopped him before it's too late, but my brain just stopped working, lol. And even if I did press the button to make him go back to 1st, he wouldn't have made it back because his speed and BR aggressiveness is so low that he would've done the cupid shuffle out there instead of listening to me.

Anyone else have baserunners who have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Stupid?

I turned off CPU-assisted base-running earlier this year when dummy base-runners were costing me Showdown wins.

Best decision I made all year in my MLB the Show gaming experience.

I have the same question about the Showdown baserunning. You hit a gapper and the runners automatically return to their base instead of running towards the next base...you have to manually make the runner go. Then you line out to the outfield and the runners just stand there and you have to manually send them back. It makes no sense and stupid isn't even the proper word for it!

Exactly! Just yesterday Trea Turner was on second base and I hit a line drive to the outfield that was clearly in the gap and beyond the outfielder's reach.

And what does Turner do? He dives back to second base before taking his time to get up and run to third. As a result, Babe Ruth doesn't get an RBI and a double play is in order.
