This. Over stuff that a lot of us will have no problems with. And others will complain about stuff that others will find easy. It will be a "Whoa is me" type of weekend for sure. You will even have some mad at SDS for making them do these moments for whatever cards that will be available. The whole, "I been waiting all year for insert player name, and you make him impossible for me to get!" Lol. Cannot wait.
IT'S HAAAAAAAAAAAARD. Why would they call it Extreme AND make it hard?
It’s not about being hard (I got last years done by noon the next day), it’s about the awful programming for gameplay. Watching 50 fielding defenders consistently playing like Mays in the OF or having perfect perfect flyballs with 100 power guys die at the warning track is what cheeses people off, not the inherent difficulty.
Ah, so it’s the difficulty...gotcha.

The last moment against Kershaw at Polo Grounds gave me fits last year. Andrew Miller was nice, but not worth the hours of frustration. Hopefully the rewards are better this time.
Easily one of the worst moments ever. I remember having to use directional hitting to beat it.

I can name at least ten guys on here that’ll be amongst the first to complain about the content drop today. They never fail to disappoint
I could probably name at least 7 of those 10 you are talking about too lmao
-
OMG, it's so hard! Please nerf Showdown extreme.

Guaranteed most of the regulars on here can. It’s always the same crew, crying about how they can’t beat a showdown or moment on veteran
Having difficulties will happen. What annoys me is the unwillingness to persevere and get better. Just want handouts or quit

Lol says it's not difficulty & then goes on to describe difficulty of hitting P/P out...derp

My thoughts exactly. Assuming a player can't make a spectacular defensive play because of a low rating is absurd. That player is still one of the top 1000 baseball players in the world...Just because they aren't amazing at an MLB level doesn't mean they can't catch a ball.

You can complain about latency, timing windows, poor connections, bunt cheesing, R2 holding, poor RNG, rubber banding and you'll get a bit of credit
But if you cant beat extreme, time to face facts, you just aren't good at the game
-
I reaaaaaaallly hope it’s not a card I want because I know I won’t have the patience to do it.
-
I’m just looking forward to Kevin’s videos on this. His Moments Extreme videos from last year are pure gold
-
Showdown extreme will seperate the boys from the men for sure. Might even turn a couple men into boys. I look forward to seeing that on here lol. Should be good times.
See you guys on the other side

Major League Baseball players making diving catches is also not a valid complaint.

Well if you were able to make it through the HOF moments to get Ruth then you should be able to get through these right?

It will be harder than those. The Ruth HOF missions really weren’t all that bad

Are you actually trying to argue that a perfect perfect flyball (ie perfect user input) with a power hitter shouldn’t be a home run? That someone should have to have perfect user input multiple times to beat a moment because RNG is how things should be made hard?

Great....I had a great team last year and never beat Kershaw at Polo. I'm better this year ( I think lol) so hopefully I can get a few of the players. If not, I have a pretty solid team anyway. I just want Mays and Morgan and a few others maybe.
I do agree on the Ruth missions. They weren't that hard.

Let me ask you this, how would you spike difficulty in a Sport game for a mode named extreme? Honest question, tell me how you believe it should be done.

Um, moments on HoF (instead of the usual veteran/AS), more involved moments (ie the Jansen and Kershaw moments from last years extreme), etc. increasing rng is simply stupid. If user input isn’t going to matter, the. They might as well just make us roll dice for these.
