Kershaw

So how similar is this card to last year’s Sig Kershaw? Does anyone remember the speed on the fastball last year? It seemed like he had a bigger gap between fastball and curve last year. That’s what always killed me was being late on the fastball and then way early on the curve or change because my timing was way off in trying to figure him out.

I don’t have him yet, waiting for the price to drop a little more, but I did face him once in the deadball event. This could be user error on my opponents part but I honestly hit him pretty hard. Being that the event is on HOF with trash hitters, I shouldn’t have hit him hard. Not nearly as good as last year IMO(I also got a monitor last week and played with a TV all last year so take that with a grain of salt)
I’ll add that part of it might be how this game plays. Curves and changes just aren’t as good and that is Kershaws bread and butter

I looked it up. He did have more speed differential last year. The big difference with this year is better control. Last year's Sig had better break on most of the pitches. The FB and sinker were 1 mph faster last year and the curve and change were slower.

Not to mention that the curve and sinker last year wasn't busted. As well as relying on hope/luck where the pitch actually goes no matter how good of input you have this year on said pitch.
Hard pass on Kershaw this year.

Kershaw has been solid for me so far in the few starts he has made. 1 event start and 2 on all star. 1 run allowed in a cg then none given up during a 2 inning game in which my opponent quit
