Team Affinity Stage 4 thoughts?

@ebbets1957 something I thought about, don’t think it will actually happen, but what do you think about then making the individual players league cards part of TA stage 4. They are all 99s, and yes some of these cards are pretty op but each team has one of these cards. Maybe they won’t be the ultimate end card for the program, honestly think it will be a new card series like finest of the franchise since each TA award has been a new series (future stars is completely different from years past so I put these years cards as pretty much a new series). But curious if at the end of the cycle of this years game they make the players league cards available (possibly even a choice pack)

I’m not sold on the idea that they are going to use 1 uniformed type of card. Personally I think they do a mix of awards, prime, and signature that will all be 99’s. I think they are all going to 99’s and hope that they don’t have 30 more future stars yet to be released. It may just be me but I’ve watched enough baseball to know that future stars turn into future busts at least 50% of the time and I would guess maybe a total of 3 top prospects right now will ever develop fully into a guy that deserves a 99 card based on their actual production. I would much rather play with juiced card versions of stars and legends than a grip of guys who have cards juiced up to their full overhyped potential. Also I don’t thinkAwards series Kris Bryant or Matt Chapman should look like scrubs compared to some “future star” third baseman given winning MVP or Platinum glove is probably the pinnacle of any third baseman’s career anyways there’s not really much room to be 2 points better overall

To the first part, they have kept the first 3 stages as a uniform set so I dont Think they would break that pattern for the last stage, but as this is the first year of this format for TA, it can be anything so who knows.
To the second part about the future stars, who cares! SDS spent a lot of time and money to get the rights to the minor leagues to make the game better so I have no problem with them adding new great cards to the game, their showing off the fruits of their labor. And honestly it’s probably good for the game of baseball as a whole because it’s a way to learn about players no one has ever heard of. Would you rather have the exact same players every single year? If they didn’t include prospects the content would of been almost copy and paste from last year with a few new legends. Would you prefer 6 different versions of Kris Bryant like they did with smoltz this year? It’s a fantasy game, don’t use the card if you don’t want to. The ultimate fantasy so far in this game is allowing walter Johnson to throw 102, so if that’s in the game I have no problem with a top prospect getting a fantasy card of his potential

I get it some of the cards are fun to play with and that all the cards are juiced versions including the current stars and legends. Personally I like the prospects having usable diamonds I just think the awards cards should be the most juiced up 99’s. I don’t need to see a 99 future star card from each team just So it fits in the pattern of having a unformed set. Last year the final affinity rewards were a mix of different types it’s not an abstract thought even if you think there is no chance they do something the do something with the upcoming content that hasn’t already been done

I currently have 19 teams at 100% completion, but I’m debating on completing anymore until TA Stage 4 is released. I know prices for exchanges will go up once Stage4 is released, so are any of these teams worth completing now?
Teams with 64% completed: Pirates, White Sox, Rangers
Teams with 32% completed: Tigers
Teams with 27% completed: Orioles, Red Sox, Brewers, Angels, A’s, Mariners, D-Backs

All are worth completing. Exchanges right now will not be cheaper than they are after the pack sale for likely the next two months. If TA cards are 99's like everyone is thinking, then the exchanges will get very expensive again soon....do them now while you can, or what I'd do if I were you, is invest in the 19-20 teams you already have done, so that you can get the final award for each......

I don’t see it being more legends. Finest is the only thing that makes sense.

Could be, but Finest have always been sold in packs as well, so including finest in Stage 4 would not be a money maker for SDS, especially with Headliner Packs no longer being sold. Finest Packs would make most sense to replace them. I do however think we could see Finest Cards from previous seasons in Stage 4....
