Prestige Mantle!!!!

So I prestige’s mantle which was a huge grind. My original mantle wa[censored]ting 240 but was really streaky. Still great for my team. However prestige i[censored]ting below the Mendoza line. I’ve replaced him with Luis Robert FS.So depressing.
Why would a prestige card play worse than a non prestiged card. This happen with Paxton card and Oswalt. Am I doing something wrong?

Its not, you’re just pressing too much with him. Card is a beast

you’re putting too much pressure on him and feel like he shouldn’t even get out after all you did with normal one, that happened with my didi and i never got back into the groove i had with the normal card but when i prestiged bellinger i took a different approach, even tho i worked hard for prestige him, he still wa[censored]ting in like the 6-8 spot, you just have to look at them as any other good hitter and not worry if they get out

After I prestiged Chipper, I forget how to hit with him & I can’t tell you the last time he batted.
What everyone else says: you are pressing too hard. Perhaps, bring him in as a pinch hitter early in your game & just keep him in. I’ve been slumping with regular Mantle, but it is probably just user error

It irks me that prestige cards aren't automatically in event line ups. I've wondered if it's because the base versions are secretly better......
I'll just go and make us a pair of tinfoil hats to party about the town in.

All great answers. I have him as a pinch hitter now. But maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to put the base mantle back in my line up to get in a groove with him. Also low key. The Luis Robert card is sick. Small sample size. 15 for 15 in stolen bases and 340 batting. Tough decisions ahead for my outfield. Lol.

Well I mean it only increases what attributes arent maxed out already to plus 3 each. It isnt like it is a whole other out of this World card or anything. Dont expect so much and things will probably get back to around what they were.
I mean you are talking about a +3 to PWR vs lefties and nothing more to vs Righties, cuz both cards are maxed, and
110/119 to 113/122 upgrade vs righties. Not sure if that is enough to notice a difference.
But you get the diamond shield in Center now! lol

I’m so close to Mantle prestige need about 13 runs. Mo prestige has been way worse than SS Mo and prestige chipper has worse numbers vs lefties and better vs righties meanwhile AS chipper killed lefties and was good cause righties lol. Just a weird aspect of the game having different numbers with the “lower” cards lol
