Can we start giving some love to Max Fried

I mean this guy has been lights out from the start. And tonight he made the Yankees vaunted offense look almost pedestrian. And when he did get into trouble in the 5th he managed to only give up a sac fly after starting the inning off by giving up hits to first two batters putting runners on 2nd and 3rd with no one out. The best pitcher that no one talks about. Let’s give him a round of applause.

LOL! You mean the vaunted offense that was missing Stanton, Torres and LeMahieu?
-
I would agree if he keeps up, he may get some type of recognition.
Regardless of who he’s faced, he’s been consistent so far.@Hikes83 you seem like a good dude, but the Yankees’ offense faced a banged up starting pitching staff, only scoring 2 games runs in 14 innings. No Soroka, no Folty, no Hamels. In reality we should be getting shelled with our starting 5 every time they go out there until the pen comes in to play. Fried is our most “established” starting pitcher at the moment. Lol

If no applause for beating the Yankees, how about just applaud that he’s 5-0 with a 1.35 ERA, 38 strikeouts while only giving up 26 hits (40 innings), has an absurd ERA+ of 355!! And somehow hasn’t surrendered a HR all year. Crazy year he’s having...

Well that team is still trotting out 6 guys with an OPS of 1.0 or higher. So yeah he shut down a pretty good offensive team and so did Ian Anderson in the first game.

Don’t forget his WAR which is a league leading 2.5 and thats over position players like Trout, Tatis, and Betts which means that he is the most valuable player regardless of position.

He's already been bumped to gold, if he stays at this pace he'll be diamond by end of year and likely in the CY Young talks.

If he continues at this pace he’s gonna win the MVP and Cy young award. I fully expect him to come back to earth but I’m enjoying it while lasts.

Max Fried's curveball.

Max Fried's curveball.
His slider is quickly becoming as good as the curveball and his change up isn’t too bad either.

dude's been the MVP of the team thus far. wouldn't be where we (they) are without him! AA gotta got get another arm to go with him and Anderson!
And the ball that Acuna hit off Cole!!! Dude...

Liftoff, that is all (mic drop)

He's been a go-to for me in Showdown when he popped up as a silver pitcher in the past. Now that he's been upgraded to gold, I don't know if I'll use him as much, though.

I am not a Braves fan, but I make it a point to watch Fried pitch whenever he is scheduled to start.
