Why do I have to play on All-Star?
-
Can we just make a competitive game mode that you can select your difficulty? I don't want to play on All-Star. I don't want to play on a level of difficulty so low that the outcome of games is entirely random. I'm genuinely trying to figure out how every single game I play is a one run game, win or lose. I'm tired of losing 7-6 to a slap [censored] silver player that I strike out 16 times and outhit by 10, and then turn around and win 7-6 in the opposite scenario.
Whether I'm playing a high level prestige with a god squad or a bronze throwing Michael Kopech, every single time it comes down to a very small margin. It's ridiculous and it's gotten worse this RS.
Can someone point me to where I can read how this thing is put together? The more I play this, the more I genuinely think "the game" has its fingers on the scales of online play, which is the best case scenario, because otherwise this game seems very poorly made.

There a reason why there no esport with this game

And why can't I set a minimum rank for my opponent? I lose two games by one run each and drop 74 points just because my opponents were at 595 (and they were probably there because they got railed by some lower level player on some All-Star BS).
It's just ridiculous. Like I get and accept a certain amount of gameplay inconsistency, that's totally fine and I still enjoy the game. But is anyone actually pleased with the way they've set up Ranked Seasons? They might as well just develop a game of plinko for PS4 or a coin flipping game?
And seriously, why is every time I pitch dominate my opponent does too, and every time I can't pitch, my opponent can't either. Why are all games either 9-8 or 2-1?

Well I wouldn't say it's completely random. Haven't you noticed the overwhelming comeback logic in the last inning of every game. Oh sorry SDS I know you don't like us talking about that

Crazy thing is I try not to complain but yesterday I gave up 4 in the 9th and couldn’t even be mad lol just how the game plays I’ve won some the same way

I just had an hour long discussion yesterday with some friends of mine that also play the game. We’re all stuck on all start difficulty. Can’t get passed division series for some reason. I don’t like to blame this “RNG” but it honestly feels like at this level it has nothing to do with skill. It’s almost as if the game dictates who wins or loses. I’m not bad at the game either. I have a pretty decent record but can’t get passed all star difficulty for the life of it. It’s discouraged me to play more ranked seasons so I’ve come to just play friendlies more than anything. It’s pretty sad. This is the first year I’ve taken the game serious and won’t be back at the end of the cycle as online gameplay is not consistent

And it's only going to get worse next year with all the new players coming in. Gotta keep them engaged and spending money somehow !!!

I’ve only cracked 700 once this whole year and play hours everyday. The way RS is set up with difficulty and outcomes is awful. The few events that were HOF were such a better gaming experience and way less RNG coming into play. There needs to be a tweak or a new game mode that’s competitive and counts for TA/Stats/etc. that players can choose their difficulties.

I’m actually terrified for next year and the multiple consoles demographic. Classic hitting/pitching will probably be the meta setting lmao

You think PS players cheese and will do anything for a win. Wait until you meet the Xbox players.
