I played a bizarre game last night which was as much frustrating as it was fun. I probably got caught underestimating my opponent but once I started treating him like a legit player the game continued down the rabbit hole. In the first inning using awards Greinke as my starting pitcher the game started off ominously with my opponent hitting an opposite field double with his CAP. For some reason I can’t get those guys out. The next batter was Superman card LeMahieu (POTM) who promptly deposits a perfectly thrown slider just off the outside corner in the first row of the left field bleachers. I’m like ohhh this guy came to play. His next guy got on and then I clamped and struck out the next 2 and a weak ground out to end the threat. I came up to bat and Mantle rips the first or second pitch from 99 Kluber into the center field bleachers it’s now 2-1. The next few innings go by without much fanfare, I’m striking this guy out left and right and the universe seems to have righted itself. I do the next scoring and hit back to back dingers with Ruth and Sheff the score is 3-2. My opponents next at bat he starts hitting like a hall of famer and eventually takes the lead with like 4 straight hits. All of sudden I can’t get this guy out to save my. He is hitting pitches that are in the dirt for base hits and missing pitches in the Strikezone. The next few innings we are trading the lead back and forth and my blood pressure is reaching a boiling point as I can’t believe what this guy is doing to my pitching. All told I end up eventually winning 8-7 but was sitting there in complete disbelief at what had just happened. Especially when I look at his stats and they are pedestrian at best. .250 ish average 3.5 ish ERA. I’m sure some of you can understand the emotional roller coaster that game was for me against what should have been an easy game in my opinion based on what I saw afterwards. His record was something like 100-90. Just thought some might enjoy that story.

Good stuff. I don't put any stock in someones record or stats, I wish they would reset every season so you had a better grasp of their current skill level.

I have a friend that makes WS every season, then when a new inning drops, he tanks his rating to 375 so he can get 10 RS wins as quickly as possible. He usually sells the inning boss within 15 hours of the inning program dropping.

He is one of the best players I've seen, including guys that stream, but he has a loosing record due to his approach to making stubs quickly. I'm sure guys load in, see his record, and assume he's trash....for about 2 pitches.
