Thoughts on Mantle

Hey Guys, I've had Mickey Mantel for a couple months now. Batting .370 with like 13 HR and 40 RBI. Feel like based on his attributes I should be hitting much better. I got guys with less attributes that I bat .450+ with and hit for more power. Seems like Mantle is a line drive hitter and seems to only get singles and doubles. Anyone else feel the same?

I have him prestiged. He’s batting like .415 with 60+ HRs and 100+ RBIs.
He’s the best hitter I’ve ever used in any year of DD. Stick with it. I was only batting like .340 with his 99 diamond. His prestige card is pretty special. May only be +3 in attributes, but he feels beyond juiced. He feels really fast now in the outfield too. This is one prestige that made a difference I think.

I have noticed he doesn't hit as many homers as you'd think. But as you said, I think he's the best line drive hitter / gap hitter in the game.

He reminds me of Lou Gehrig's SS card last year. Gehrig I hit for more power with but Gehrig seemed to find the gaps like nobody's business...lol.
