All Timer Moments Tips

I started the game a couple weeks ago, and beat the all star babe missions relatively easily. I already beat the al central one 4-0, but all the other ones have given me trouble. Any tips?
-
Be patient but the more trouble you get the pitcher in, the tougher the pitches get. Bat your highest contact hitters in RBI spots (3-4-5). I found contact more important than power on HOF. When pitching.....FB’s up and in and sliders away. Change ups low and away if you get in trouble
-
Take 2 strikes with every hitter until 2 outs. With 2 strikes uses contact swing.
-
Be patient. You're not gonna beat them all in 10 min. Enjoy the ride

Speed helps.

Meatball method, google is your friend.

What are you struggling with, any one aspect of the game in particular?

Get speed guy on, take pitches, then just contact swing and any singles should move runner over or score them. I use Kluber and usually he is solid after get lead....though twins ravished him....took a few games to beat him.....man today Angel's had two guys on and I had the choice to pitch to powerful anderson or face trout....after two low changeups....one high and tight fastball struck him out. Now the potent A's. I'm taking my time going in order...American league pitcher against Al teams, and national league pitcher against nl teams... maybe Hersh.. but no solid fastball, maybe Grad.....or Lodo.....have to see

Like conquest, you want to work the opposing SP to 20 pitches, then get aggressive and swing away. Until then only swing if it's a meatball or 2 strikes.

I am good with pitching, and I can pitch shutout innings pretty easily. I have a hard time scoring runs though.

I went with an all speed lineup
CF -Lofton
LF - Brock
3B - Jackie
RF - Mickey
1B - Musial
SS - Mondesi
2B - Brujan
C - BiggioBench
Wagner
Cobb
Walker
Posada
CabreraObviously, Mickey and Stan are not speed guys, but you need some power in a lineup.
It's like the mid 80's Cardinals - Speed through out the lineup with Jack Clark and Pendelton to clean up.You need to be patient, steal bases and avoid mistakes on the basepaths.
All of that speed is also a huge bonus on defense. Good luck getting a ball in the gap or a dribbler through the infield with all of that speed. -
I second what some of the others have said here. I am not a good player, but I only lost one Hall of Fame game doing this. I had my God squad in for the nine inning game, but a speed team in for the rest. The speed really seemed to manufacture runs for me.
-
Im with most people sentiment. Ive noticed the higher the difficulty the more patient you have to be. Some at bats your lucky you get one strike in the zone. Take the walks and steal when you can. Ive played 3 HOF games so far. 1-0, 2-0, 4-2

I had so much fun playing with the speed team.
It felt like old school baseball. Hit and Run, moving runners over, and stealing bases was so much fun.
Having Mickey and Stan provide the occasional pop helped as well. -
Speed, lots of lefties, and a good starter who keeps the ball in the yard. I’ve done really well with Mike Scott.

Honestly, be patient, wait for your pitch. With the HOF games, you are road team and bat 1st, if you dont score at least a run, restart the inning. If you are like me and can pitch shut outs, all you need is 1 run. It is moments, so there is no penalty to restart

100 % correct and have power arms in the pen.
I did not worry about playing match ups unless there were 2 outs in an inning. The CPU does a good job in alternating the lineup, so I just went with my most trusted arms out of the pen. -

I use Henke vs RH, Chapman vs LH, and Hoffman vs SH.
My issue was not pitching, i just have to score, so i tried to score as early and often as possible, also steal, steal, steal. Like i said, you dont score in the first restart.

I know they got rid of the HR/9 affect for players, but I wonder if it still works against the CPU?

Get Awards J.D.!!! Awards JD, Story, and Fotf Smoltz won a ton of game for me. Jd had 8 walk offs, and Story had 2.
