The first bunt might work, you won’t get away with bunting after that. You do realize he is the best in the game at charging barehand fielding and throwing in the same motion. Just like in real life
You take everything way too seriously and love getting in arguments...here is an example: https://forums.theshownation.com/topic/17705/what-is-the-best-card-in-the-game-right-now/15?_=1597680975416
Not sure what point your making with that post as you haven’t given any context about that particular post I made a month ago. We’re debating the merits of fielding at 3rd base and you’re the one bragging about how it’s not important and how you would break down Chipper at 3rd. I’m simply rebutting your argument. Do you have a problem with defending your position? I mean deflecting to another argument doesn’t make you very credible.
All of your posts on here are arguments. You are one of the reasons this forums is soooo toxic
I’m simply asking you to defend your position. I don’t deflect to a post from a month ago that has no context to make my point. I just rebut what you said about the your position that 3rd base defense is not that important. You decided to make it personal.
If you want me to defend my position I will...you had nothing to prove wrong against it though lol
I argued that Chipper was a better defender than Sheff at 3rd base. You pointed out that all you need is a strong arm and fielding wasn’t that important. And that you think Chipper has a weak arm for that position. My counter was that his average arm and ability to move at that position was more important than having a strong throwing arm and very limited range. That’s when I mentioned I’d like to play you just to hit liners down the line to prove that range and mobility are just as important as having a strong throwing arm, because in that scenario Chipper will win far more often than Sheff who is an atrocious fielding 3rd basemen. That’s when you began taking it personally. You pointed out rather bluntly that I wasn’t good enough to do that to you and that if I played Chipper you would just bunt the whole game and beat him. I pointed out that you might get away with it once but not again as Chipper is probably the best at charging those plays and making them when put in the right defensive alignment. I wasn’t asking who was better at the game, you’re the one who went down that path. I was simply saying that Chipper is the better fit at 3rd than Sheff because of what he could do defensively. And for the record Chipper is not given the credit he deserves for his defense ever in these games. He may never have won a gold glove based in part because Scott Rolen was playing that same position at the same time as Chipper and was an other worldly defender. And the year he should have won he was robbed by David Wright who made like twice as many errors as Chipper did that year. That’s beside the point. I’m just asking you to defend your position that Sheff is the better option at 3rd and that 3rd is not premium defensive position. Im not asking that we compare cup sizes (sarcasm). Please tell Brooks Robinson or Nolan Arenado that 3rd isn’t a premium defensive position. It’s not called the hot corner for no reason!!

Fair enough, let’s just let bygones be bygones. It’s not personal but arguing/ debating isn’t a bad thing either, its how humans communicate and learn. And this world would be a much better place if we could accept others opinions and not attack them with braggadocious claims when they don’t necessarily agree with your point of view.

I’m not typing a speech about who is a better defensive 3rd baseman in a video game is all I’m saying
-
brett has been unreal, I have him prestiged but he has been incredible as my 2nd or 5thhitter.Tons of pop. I also used gleyber with good results. Chipper too
-
I use Sandberg he’s been solid for me
-
Orestes Minoso
-
I'm a strong believer in the "3B defense doesn't matter in this year's game" crowd so personally, I roll with Gary Sheffield but with Frank Thomas dropping, Sheffield will move to LF and I'm going to move Thome over to 3B. So yeah, that should tell you how little I value fielding and reaction for 3B -- a good arm is nice, however.
I did use George Brett and found his hitting to be smooth and his defense to be very good in the rare case that you need it. That said, if you have Chipper or Sheffield Prestiged, you'd be crazy to not just go with them.
-
Yea I can’t replace Longoria. He’s a home run machine for me and I can’t even tell you how many jump back throws he has made to first. D is sick
-
Has anyone picked up Jose Ramirez from the Prestige path? How is he in there?
