Hot and Cold Streaks
-
This is my first year playing ranked seasons and I’m really enjoying the competition. I have all the highly rated players I want in my lineup and my goal this year was to stick with a consistent lineup of guys I can put hundreds of at bats in with in hopes developing a lineup of guys I can hit with having worked out swing and timing struggles with each over time/at bats. What I have experienced is this process has worked for guys like Sheffield and Walker who now mash for me after near unbearable early struggles. Interestingly though over that same amount of time Mantle and Thome has gone the other direction for me. Early on they smashed everything for me and now they are slumping so much I’m losing hope they will stay in my lineup. I can’t help but think if I had those 4 hitting at A level somewhere in between their hot and cold streak levels i might be able to afford hang a curveball every once in awhile. I’m curious if others have had this same experience with guys turning ice cold even after a good amount of prior at bats and success and if they were able
To turn it back around with those guys or it’s just time to move on to the next card. -
I find that I myself go through hot and cold streaks... Sometimes i can get hits with 5 of 6 batters, other times i can't get a hit to save my life... Right now i'm on the hot streak so better not jinx it lol. They say Ranked Season the first 3 or 4 levels are at Allstar Pitching and Hitting but seems to get way harder once you hit about 450 rating. Maybe its in my head I dunno...
