Who is your closer?
-
Last night was my first RS game in ages. Between treatment and this storm destroying our area leaving me with no power or internet for a week, my goal of hitting 300 stars before the next season came to a screeching halt ha.
Anyway, I have sig Chapman and last night was my first time using him. Proceeded to give up a game tying homer in the 9th and then my team just fell apart in the 11th....
So who are you using? Is it really worth it to keep Chapman?
-
I have a closer by committee: Mo/Dibble/Chapman...& it's not only you, all of them have blown leads with 2 outs in the 9th before. Sometimes the ball just has a magnet right down the plate. Don't feel too bad.
-
Dibble, Betances .McGee, Gagne (98)
-
L = 97 Chapman or Wagner
R = Gagne or DibbleJust depends on R/L matchups coming up and energy level.
-
97 chap or McGee or Rodney usually
-
Gagne got lit up in the event for me.
So I decided to trot him out for the HOF portion of the All Time Program and he was a heart attack there as well.
Since I do not care who gets the save it is a combination of Wagner, Fingers, Britton or Betances. -
I think I might sell him and go committee.

This is my set up as of today - just picked up 97 Chapman and Dibble.
-
Wagner/Fingers combo

I dont have the pleasure of using the top guys but Dolittle, Rodney and Diaz shut it down for me. just got Hoffman and moved him to #1 so we will see

I used Hoffman for the first time today. I put him in when I’m up 10-3 in the bottom of the 9th he gives up 3 runs and only got two outs. Brought in my closer CAP to strike out Trout. Even though this game was on all-Star Hoffman is getting throw into the green bin for me. Haha
-
Mike Trout.
Get it? I'll see myself out.

Depends on who tossed the 8th. If I need to throw a flamethrower like Dibble or 97 chapman I'll toss Rollie in the 9th to change the pace.
If i go 8ip with Maddux Chapman follows because the bat is usually slow.
-
Ricky Vaughn - aka cap with Cinder delivery
-
Joe Exotic

Rollie is all you need. I cant put my “finger” on it but he surely has a “grasp” on the closer position. If You need a “hand” with closing duties, I would give him “two thumbs” up.

He's one of the few relievers with a sinker, finky deoivery, 3 different speeds with both horizontal and vertical movement. He's been amazing for me even though everyones seen him all year.

"Fingers tired"
"Fingers out of energy"
-
Fingers until I bought Gagne today

By committee, I go off of what my opponent has struggled to hit. If they can’t catch up to fastballs I’d go with dibble or Chapman. If they are sitting on the fastball and have struggled to handle movement I’ll go Rivera.
