Getting ready for HOF "All-Timer's Moments"...
-
Throughout the year on DD, I've been regularly playing on All-Star difficulty. Never really ventured to try HOF except a couple times. Now with the All-Timers program requiring you to win 8 HOF 6-Inning games, I decided to play conquest on HOF difficulty and see how quickly I can get good to be ready for the grind.
So far, not as bad as I thought it'd be. I'm 9-1 and scored 43 runs. Hitting isn't much an adjustment. It's the pitching and pitchers control that has gotten me in jams. I've used all my pitchers SP/RP to see who seems to handle HOF just the same as AS. So far, Hector Neris is now mortal on HOF versus untouchable in AS. On the other hand, Sean Doolittle's AS card is still invincible!

I am lights out with Orel on HOF. I am not good at hitting so I been winning the HOF games 2-1 or 1-0. inside sinkers to RH outside to LH low, cutter away to RH Curve below the zone.

I had been playing sine vs CPU games on HOF, just because i was trying for innings and didn't care about winning or stats, and i was able to win. Last couple conquest maps i have went straight to nearest stronghold and beat it on HOF, so i know i can win on HOF, i am even 2-0 vs CPU on Legend, but i was playing Tigers, not sure how i will fare vs a good or great team.

I wasn't hitting anything, i meen way off either way too early or way to late, did a practice mode and it helped immensely. I'm still early or too late on skme pitches but i've started to be able to hit on HOF. My next step is to beat Maddux.
Speed and pitching are the most important thing in these games/moments. Load your team with speed and it will drive the CPU bananas.

Problem for me is, AS in Conquest and AS in the Moments don't feel the same at all. I've been struggling bad against the starters in these moments. Been having to wait till the reliever comes in and walk it off or go extras. Can't seem to catch up to anything.
