TA 4 cards if they Aren’t finest
-
There are alot of yet to be released legends, and not a lot of ways to release them. I put together a list of who I think it could be if they aren’t the common theory of finest cards. Some teams won’t have legends, but flashbacks instead, because the Royals and Rays quite literally don’t have any other legends it could be
Orioles- 99 Eddie Murray, Brooks, or Ripken. Could be any one of them
Red Sox- Ted Williams or Jimmie Foxx
Yankees- I don’t think Babe will be released here, but a Silver Slugger Posada is a real possibility
Blue Jays-Alomar
Rays-Has to be Longorio or Price because there are 0 legend options
White Sox- Frank Thomas
Tigers- Ty Cobb or Miggy
Indians- Is Doby still in the game?
Royals- Wade Davis? Gordon or Hosmer wouldn’t be rated high enough. This very team is the reason I think finest is likely
Twins- Walter Johnson
Angels- Nolan Ryan
Rangers- Pudge
Mariners- Griffey and Edgar are the only choices
A’s-Lefty Grove, could also get Foxx
Mets-Seaver
Marlins- Cliff Floyd I guess?
Braves- Andrew Jones, or Chipper
Nationals- MVP Harper?
Phillies- They always get shafted so Robin Roberts is a real possibility
Cardinals-Bib Gibson
Reds-Bench or Morgan
Pirates- Honus or Kiner
Brewers- Braun I guess. They don’t really have anyone
Cubs- Likely Billy Williams or Fergie
Dodgers-Kershaw or Snider
Rockies-Helton 100%
Diamondbacks- Goldschmidt
Giants- Bumgarner or Cepeda. Don’t see Mays here
Padres- No idea. Could they juice Benito this much from last year? While Finest is most likely because of several teams just not having anyone, I thought it would be fun to predict some if they weren’t finest
-
Yankees will be Gehrig
-
Helton 100%.
-
Would love to see the M's get a Alvin Davis, or Norm Charlton, even a Mike Cameron.
-
Hoping for Pujols for Cardinals.
-
It’d be weird to have 25 teams with legends and 5 with flashbacks. For AZ, I think Gonzo would be more likely than Goldy.
-
MY guesses for this round
I think there will be 3 new legends againOrioles - Murray
Yankees - Gehrig
Red Sox - Foxx
Blue Jays - Olerud
Rays - LongoriaTwins - Blyleven
White Sox - Thomas
Indians - Hafner
Tigers - Verlander
Royals - New legendAstros - Wagner
Angels - Percival
A's - New legend (one of the trio maybe?)
Mariners - Edgar or where we see the 99 overall Griffey
Rangers - Ivan RodriguezBraves - Andruw Jones
Phillies - Ashburn
Mets - Seaver
Nationals - 99 overall Zimmerman?
Marlins - New Legend (Kevin Brown?)Cubs - Jenkins
Cardinals - Slaughter
Reds - Tony Perez
Pirates - Kiner
Brewers - BraunPadres - Roberto Alomar
Dodgers - Jansen
Rockies - Carlos Gonzalez
Giants - Cepeda
Diamondbacks - Finley -
I'm guessing they do another legend and Finest for TA4 and the stage takes 100 points
-
Holy [censored] I didn't even think about the possibility that Griffey ends up the TA4 guy. Ima need him and Edgar immediately

I agree on that. But the Royals, Rays, and Nats don’t have any more unreleased legends available and all the Brewers have is Plesac lol

What's the most diamond cards that they have released for one player in a DD year?

So they routinely have dropped 97/98 versions and followed up with a 99? Seeing a 95, 98, and a 99 of a card seems stupid, unless it's different positions like Smoltz with closer and starter.
-
Back in 17 Griffey and Schmidt each got 2 99s. Griffey also is a different case then anyone else. They wouldn’t just release 2 griffeys that have poor contact, fielding and speed and not give him a 99
-
Griffey might be the only thing that pushes Walker to my bench. A 99 Griffey is going to be unstoppable this year.

That sounds dumb man. Should we expect 99s of Boggs, Molina, Mattingly, Brock etc? I'm genuinely curious, I only played 18 (and didnt start until late August) so we had the immortals representing the top cards.

No way we see multiple 99s now. Signature series, Awards, Prime, or FOTF(in the legends case) are their top cards. Griffey is the only exception. In 17 the current 95 Griffey was a 99 under the different rating scale
