New to Team Affinities

So I've bought a couple FotF cards so far, but how does everybody complete the Team Affinities so quick? Do you just play showdown after showdown? Curious to see if I need to just grind out showdowns left and right. If there is a quicker/easier route???

I haven't done any but the CUbs, but I see a lot of people doing exchanges and Showdowns. LOTS of showdowns

Showdowns are great for Stubs and XP but can be a massive time suck if you fail to beat the boss at the end.
The laws of Physics do not apply in the Final Showdown.
All infielders are Ozzie Smith and the Outfielders cover ground like Buxton.
Not to mention, the moment you get a runner on first, chances are you will ground into a momentum killing 6-4-3 Double play. -
I have them all to at least 89%. Early on i did like 8 or 9 MTOs, I did a lot of SD for S1 and S2. But for 3 i just did exchanges. Its not horrible. I know you can get the 10 points for like 5 or 6k.
I also did all stat missions and moments for each team. Anything within 7 of the end of the stage or to the card i will do online innings.
Its time consuming, but i have time, lots of it. But yeah no doubt exchanges are fastest easiest. I probably over paid a bit, but i was doing 6 81s, 1 78, and 1 66, just because it wasnt too expensive and only 8 orders instead of like 15.

I was doing a mix of MTO and Showdowns to finish stage 1. I then did just showdowns and got halfway through stage 2 and got burnt out. I then did exchanges from there all the way through 100% stage 3. When I started the exchanges I had @450k stubs. After I finished all TA and opened all my ballin' is a habit packs, it ended up almost being a wash. I think I had @415k stubs after selling everything I opened. I didn't even try to find the best exchange deals .. for the ones I could, I just bought Topps moments cards for 8k each to get 10 points.
