The cpu is stupid on the base paths

I just got screwed over in the 2 extra base hits with Phillips, Votto, who I know is not known for speed is on first, but I hit the ball and it's obvious that it's gonna be in the gap between right and center field but old Joey Votto over there decides he's gonna stop and take a look at the ball and watch it land with nobody near the ball before he decides to take off and of course he stops at second, I wish we had the ability sometimes to control the base running in these moments

I wish they didn’t have anybody on base for moments that don’t require RBI. I’ve had to redo countless moments because of lead runners stopping me from xbh or steals or total bases. It’s really annoying to fail these when it’s the cpu base running that does it. Or how about when you need to steal a base but the hitter swings away over and over.
