Trout Collection

I’ve been away from the game for awhile and just recently getting back into it. A few questions on completing collections for Trout:
How do you get the “Universal Profile Nameplates”?
How do you acquire the Diamond Prospects? Thanks

Diamond prospects in packs. They were handing them out like candy now they are overpriced in the market. Universal profile is the three pre order cards, harper, griffey and judge. Theybwere available in the reward paths i think.

Thanks for the response. Someone already replied, which I did not see at the time I posted my question, that 30 FOTF and 30 Future Stars gets you the nameplates.

Ok cool you get that free by the team affinities. If you haven't started its a grind

You only have to do 15 of these correct?
Yes that is correct

Best bet right now is to flip and once prices come down, in a few weeks or so, buy then.

Hopefully I can get enough cards off the market to finish it off but I'll have to do the research once I get on my PS4. If I remember correctly from the Honus collection last year, I did the LS collection, purchased everything I could from the market and then had to do a few TA exchanges to get a few other cards that were needed. I've got a decent amount of stubs saved up from flipping and really haven't bought any cards in a while hoping that I could buy whatever was needed for the Trout collection.
you can complete this by grinding or buying off the market or a combination of both. It is very easy. If you have played a decent amount this year you will probably be pretty close to having a complete once you actually look at it on your console. If you have a plethora of stubs and don't want to grind anymore you can always do the team affinity exchanges in order to get some of those cards for the collection. You don't have to grind the stupid endings or do showdowns you can just use cards for the exchanges which will then unlock the cards for the collection. If that makes sense to you I was just kind of rambling
The things you would have to pay for it would be the home run Derby, and some signature or awards cards mainly. The other ones are attainable through grinding or packs. Depends on if you sold everything out of packs or if you kept everything. There's been a lot of prospect pax and players choice packs and all that not to mention event in World Series rewards and inning rewards along the way.
Thanks for the response man, I appreciate it. Yes, that makes sense to me. I've played a decent amount but not a ton, and I mainly stick to playing RS so haven't really gotten any cards that would be available from the other game modes. Good to know though that the collection can be done from simply buying cards off the market. I know it'll be expensive so I'll probably wait a little until we see some of these prices drop. Thanks again for the info!
do not buy anything now everything is so inflated. Give it a week or two especially since the stub sale just ended. I had too many cards and I literally made about a million stubs because prices are ridiculous. I cannot say it any louder, do not buy now.
Yeah, 100% agree. I've made some good stubs flipping cards this past week or so too. I'm in no real rush, although I would like to give that Trout card a try. My OF is already pretty solid with Gwynn in LF, Mickey in CF, and Walker in RF. Once these prices come back down to reality I'll start buying some of these cards I need and eventually get it done.
He is a beast. Anyone that claims his live series is just as good, does not have this card. He is that good. He will replace gwynn nicely. I love walker but didnt lock him in to the collection because i may sell him when griffey or mays drops. Trout is in the OF for good with prestige mantle. Good luck, he's worth it. Plus you get tons of stubs and xp along the way.
Obviously I haven't used him yet but I've heard people on here talk about how is LS card is just as good also, which I wouldn't imagine being anywhere near the truth. If they are coming out with this collection you know that Trout card has to be a monster. As much as I love Gwynn, being a diehard Padre fan Trout will be in LF for me as soon as I can get him. I'm just glad all the cards I need can be purchased from the market. Let some of these prices die down and keep making and hoarding stubs and it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Just don't lock in cards like gwynn that you may not use down the line. He goes for around 50k. You can sell him in order to help you complete the collection. I would sell everything that is sellable if you dont use the card and it can't be used towards the collection.

Yeah, that's good advice. I hate locking in cards and typically won't do it until it's necessary for whatever collection it is I'm trying to get done. I like having the freedom to sell cards when I want. Good point though, now would be the time to sell what I might not want/need since prices are so high. Hopefully prices calm down over the next week or two and I can get it done.

I have 9/15 done. The Postseason and the Diamond Prospect cards are insanely expensive. I have just north of 750k in stubs and I'm not blowing the majority of it on these cards I'll never use. Realistically, I don't know if I'll get this done anytime soon - as much as I want to.
