Bunting needs to be nerfed
-
I would like to start by clarifying that bunting is smart baseball. I have no problem with a situational bunt to beat the shift or a sac bunt to advance a runner. That's just good baseball. But when bunting is so effective that laying down a bunt with two outs in extra innings is more viable than actually trying to hit the ball, it's a problem. I think bunting should require the use of the PCI, so those with skill are rewarded and bunt cheesers have to actually try. Or, at the very least, lower the timing window and the chance of a successful bunt.

I think it’s less effective than it used to be. Now you’ll see lots of pop ups straight to the pitcher and catcher, whereas in the past it was a dribbler to the 2B 80% of the time.

@NRyne said in Bunting needs to be nerfed:
Yeah its definitely better than it was at the beginning of the year but these past few events have been bunt paradises
Events it makes sense because squared up balls randomly die 20 ft from the warning track. So bunt / steal / sac fly is the meta.

I noticed my IF shifted automatically against Jackie in an event game earlier. Or it happened against my Jackie. But there was not intentional IF shift for it to happen.

@loshbomb Thats the point I'm trying to make. Something needs to be fixed so that hitting is the meta rather than bunt-->steal, bunt-->steal, bunt-->steal. Bunting and stealing are 100% good baseball but you don't see MLB teams just bunting and stealing through a full game

If you think its bad now, you should have played 16. It was the worst ever.
-
Any bunt towards second is a guaranteed hit unless you play him in
-
How the heck do you bunt to second base. People saying it's overpowered. It's like impossible to bunt against rookie with 99 henderson against the orioles. How do you do thisl
