So in a showdown against Martinez I get two perfect perfect ground ball outs. The challenge only allows three outs. I am down to one out even after I do everything that a user is supposed to do. What am I supposed to do different? FYI, they were Soto FOTF and the new Boss Musial who got the outs.

Wait for him to throw something up, perfect/perfect groundballs are the most likely perfrct hit to be an out.

Perfect perfect anything shouldn't really be outs. It's especially frustrating when they are back to back.

If they were never outs you would see games with football scores. In real life sometimes guy[censored] the ball absolutely perfectly but it gets caught or i[censored] right at an infielder.

This is extremely unrealistic. Screaming line-drive outs and hard hit grounders right at fielders happen LITERALLY ALL THE TIME in baseball.

Haha. This game isn't realistic. I am sure if a pitcher was spamming high sinkers all game he wouldn't be in the majors long.

I get that it's a video game and it's frustrating. But why shouldn't they be outs? The fielders are there to defend. If it's a ball they can get to, what difference does it make how perfect you hit it?

That really has nothing to do with perfectly hit [censored] always being hits. Lots of times people smoke a ball and it's not a hit. It happens, just seems to happen more in the game because it's easier to get it. Ground [censored] though seem to be a 50-50 deal.

I see there are many that disagree. My question was, what can I do different?

I answered that in the first reply. Wait for the pitcher to bring the ball up in the zone. Take until 2 strikes

That seems to give the pitcher a huge advantage.

Nothing really different you can do. If it was to be realistic it wouldn’t be as enjoyable in my opinion.

I hate getting an out on a perfect/perfect as much as the next guy... But no batted ball has an expected batting average of 1.000.

You need to get underneath the ball more with flyball hitters. If you are hitting perfect grounders, you are probably on top of the ball. Try to square up the ball with the largest of the diamonds in your players contact reticle.
