I know there’s posts about it already but it’s out of hand now.

    FIX IT!

There is less than 0 consistency with these and even less than the good/okay problems.
I know it goes both ways for everyone but it’s incredibly ridiculous how many no-swing check swings happen. Games are being decided because of this atrocious factor and it needs to be addressed.

I’ve been having the exact opposite problem lately from online to showdown, conquest, etc. that so many of my check swings are being called for strikes all of a sudden

I'd love for check swings to be removed from the game. Too many undisciplined players are getting bailed out with constant safe checks that lead to walks/high pitch counts, and not to mention my hitters sometimes refusing to swing because I didn't completely jam my thumb on the button.

Just how real life hitters stop their bats from swinging, we should simply stop our thumbs from pressing the button in the first place

While I have no issues with removing check swings, drawing parallels to real-life doesn't work, because players can start and stop swings. So if anything, real-life examples only counter your argument, not strengthen it, because if we want it to be a like real life, that means we should have the ability to stop a swing we started.

Real life umps don't call 99.5% of all check swings as "safe" like they do in this game

That's def true, I'm not arguing that point.

I'm arguing that "Just how real life hitters stop their bats from swinging, we should simply stop our thumbs from pressing the button in the first place" is a dumb point because anyone can just counter with saying "well in real-life hitters can also stop swinging after they start to".

I get what you mean. I'm just saying that the very action of pressing a button should register as a full swing, just how a weapon can be fired in COD regardless of how lightly R2 is pressed. Physically stopping your thumb from pressing a swing button should be the in-game analog of stopping a bat from crossing the plane, not the cop out method of light pressure that incessantly bails out "too early" pull hitters

Exactly. In real-life, the players can, in fact, check their swings. Removing it, would take away from the game being "realistic".

I love 125 Discipline guys that can hold off legitimately. My play style is to get deep into counts, so I appreciate it is in the game. It's when it Javi Baez checking 10 times in an at-bat that is griping.

No call on check swings any more. That is ridiculous !!!! There are so many check swing experts in the game now. Nothing gets called any more.
